Campbell’s Ltd receives nod from DYBT for supporting young entrepreneurs

DYBT Awards Ceremony 2025

Campbell’s Business Machines & Supplies Ltd. has been honored with a distinctive award from the Dominica Youth Business Trust (DYBT) in recognition of its sustained support over nine years for young entrepreneurs involved in the Trust’s initiatives.  According to a press statement by Campbell’s Business Machines & Supplies Ltd, this accolade was presented during a ceremony celebrating the DYBT’s 20th anniversary on February 5, at the State House.

Since 2016, Campbell’s has collaborated with DYBT and the Rotary Club of Dominica to sponsor the Campbell’s/Rotary Club of Dominica Karol G. Phillip Memorial Award for Innovation in Business. This award consists of a plaque and a total of $5,000 ($2,500 in printing services by Campbell’s, and $2,500 cash by Rotary Club of Dominica), intended to assist the recipient in advancing their business endeavors.

About its founder and namesake of the award, Karol G. Phillip, the statement shared:

“Karol G. Phillip (1952 – 2015) was an innovative thinker, trainer, and manager in the field of technology and business. He spent most of his career at Cable and Wireless West Indies Ltd. first as a technician and then a manager in the technical department. He took over the family business from his father, Campbell G. Phillip, and transformed it into a leading business in the field of office equipment services, precision equipment maintenance, solar power solutions, and full-service digital printing. A dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Dominica, he was passionate about technological innovation, business development and mentoring young entrepreneurs.”

The company went on to express gratitude for the opportunity to support entrepreneurs in the community and the recognition from DYBT in this regard.
