COMMENTARY: Rijock Again!

Rupert Sorhaindo speaking at the launch of DLP Roseau North candidate, Joseph Isaac

Convicted money launderer Kenneth Rijock continues to churn out a flood of patently “fake news” aimed at the Dominican electorate, presumably on behalf of the opposition – since he has often been entertained on Q95 by Talk Show host Matt Peltier, on his Q95 talk show.

In a May 11, 2019 post on his discredited blog, Rijock asks “Will the Prime Minister of Dominica Resign in Disgrace?” He refers to a salacious story making the rounds on social media about what he describes as the Prime Minister’s “falling out with one of his mistresses” who he claims has “distributed extremely damaging evidence of criminal activities on his [Skerritt’s] part”.

He repeats earlier allegations appearing in his blog that a “US law enforcement agency has been investigating him [Skerritt] for money laundering and violations of the OFAC sanctions.”

Curiously, he interjects a reference to what he claims is “totally false information about an alleged relationship between Lennox Linton and CBI consultancies” which he surmises is part of “a massive disinformation campaign … to attempt to move the focus away from Skerritt’s crimes”.

Rijock’s reference to Linton and CBI consultancies may have unwittingly exposed himself as an agent of the UWP and/or Henley and Partners whose ties with the UWP were confirmed by former SCL CEO Alexander Nix in the course of hearings of a UK Parliamentary Committee investigating “Disinformation and Fake News”. As a matter of FACT, Nix confirmed that SCL had managed the 2010 general elections campaign for a client in Dominica that could only have been the United Workers Party, since we all remember the white-skinned strangers putting up UWP billboards and posters – including question marks, along our thoroughfares.

In another post dated May 22, 2019 titled “Police in Dominica to Get Tanks from China; Will State of Emergency be Declared to Cancel Upcoming Elections?” Rijock displays a photo of a column of tanks moving along an eight-lane thoroughfare with the caption “Roseau, Dominica 2020”. The image is the easily recognizable iconic photo taken during the June 1989 Beijing Tiananmen Square protest.

The story continues “China reportedly has shipped tanks to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police, to supplement the armoured cars it previously received. Local opposition leaders and activists openly fear that an incident will be created …. and that thereafter Dominican Prime Minister Skerritt will declare a state of emergency, and cancel upcoming national elections”.

It is necessary to indicate here that the Dominica Police have never received “armoured cars” from China or any other country, and that it would be ludicrous to imagine that the Government would make a request for tanks, to any country. On the contrary, it is the Opposition that appears to be doing everything to cause a State of Emergency to be imposed so as to give credibility to its, and Rijock’s characterization of Dominica as a dictatorship. The rabble rousing that UWP members and other sympathizers under the guise of “patriots” and “concerned citizens” continue to be engaged in, can only be explained by a desire to create the incendiary conditions for civil unrest that would lead to the imposition of a State of Emergency!

In a June 10, 2019 post titled “Hearing of Dominica Opposition Leaders Will Be Closed to the Press and Public”, Rijock portrays Dominica as a dictatorship and he once again makes references to the Peoples Republic of China whose representatives he says “have been advising Dominica’s Prime Minister Skerritt since it built a huge embassy in the country.”

One should ask: Why has Rijock taken such a keen interest in Dominica – a country that he has never visited? And whose agenda is he promoting? And who is his paymaster? That Matt Peltier  and the Q95 cabal would embrace Rijock and assist him in disseminating his “misinformation” and “fake news” should provide the answer to those questions.

All these UWP IDOTS are posting from out of DOMINICA.GABRIEL ST,JEAN wasted 41 yrs in the Police Force,he has nothing to show for the 41 yrs.He is now in Miami struggling to survive. We Labourites have built and are building back Dominica. The only lazy, lying, uneducated, incompetent, idiots are the UWP supporters. These UWP people are FAILURES being led by an uneducated, expelled, deported incompetent fool.A large number of UWP supporters in the DISPORA live in BASEMENTS and on FOODSTAMPS.Rijock told the world on Q95 supported by the TRAITOR MP,that Skerrit could not go to the USA.Skerrit has been to the USA several times. These lying CROOKS and TRAITORS turned turtle and said Skerrit was not arrested because he was PRIME MINISTER.IT was MATT PELTIER who exposed ……… in a sexual harassment case. These UWP sold DOMLEC for peanuts. They closed the Layou 5 Star Hotel to sell passports. One of them built a house costing $ 2,500,000.The guy from POINTE MITCHEL pocketed $ 1,500,000 in a BOBOL

Your name is Lin Clown right?

Well, indeed you are rely a true clown; you should be ashamed to exposed the backwardness of the country; what you exposed is that no matter how long one is employed in the civil service in Dominica; when the retirement age comes along, they retire in poverty nothing to show for their long service to the country.

If your contention is that he was a police officer for 41 years, and have nothing to show; I must ask how can one work for less than five hundred dollars per month have things to show for his labor.

Review police and civil servants pay 41 years ago, you will find police pay was less than two hundred dollars per month in Dominica.

Check it out and tell me I am wrong.

In that case I must ask you how come a guy like Blackmoore who was a police; left the force months later in government  owns a house costing more than a million Dollars?

      • August 8, 2019

But Telemaque, did you pay cash for everything you own right now? Or are your possessions from the Twilight Zone, where you came from, so they are of no value?

Why don’t you know that in today’s World, the banks are over flooded with money, due to their high interest rate and other charges to their clients; it is easy for someone to get a loan, especially if they are from the high status of Life and with a regular income.

So why does it seem so impossible to you, for Mr. Blackmore, or any other Minister from the Government to own a home that is comfortable enough for his Lifestyle?

You claim to have a house in Los Angeles and is driving an expensive car. To put them together, I am sure that you did not pay cash for them–and you are still indebted to your creditors, which might take you a Lifetime to pay them off.

You are always criticizing everything about people, of which you are the same or even worse. I wonder why do you do that?

It’s astounding how Skerrit manages to buy all those false prophets to sing for their supper. I mean they are the same people who for centuries claimed they have only the best for Dominica at heart. But now you all see what these people stand for and have always stood for… their bank accounts and to hell with Dominica! I hope these things won’t be forgotten in years to come.

Rupert , I think you are more of a fake than Rijock, and there is no point of you talking crap about the man is a convicted money launderer; in America, if one commits a crime, and they go jail; paid for their crime, no one gives a damn about it!

The person continues living a normal life; that is a far cry from Dominica where the majority, especially high up politicians in control; thief in broad day light and law enforcement let them walk as untouchables.

Take a good look at those you are defending; count their personal wealth; they all went from rags to riches in less than five years since they become politicians in high office.

Add up their personal wealth in property, and money in the their Switz bank account.

I am dumb but even I know that their paid political salary in government cannot afford what they have accumulated in multimillion houses, land/ yacht.

     Shut up Rupert!

Rijock please return to our blog: Keep us informed!

Do not talk like that about Mr. Sorhaindo. He was one of the best teachers in Science at SMA. Well respected man. I still have a lot of respect for Mr. Sorhaindo. You all are a bunch of UWP loosers and bums. This is the new Labour party – a fusion of the Freedom party and new respected Labourites. This is not the old Labour party of Patrick John, Leo Austin, Fred Degazon, Vic Riviere, and the rest. Both Mr. Sorhaindo and Charles Savarin did the right thing to join the new Labour party. That is the only way we can defeat the UWP at the polls.

Let me tell you, it’s easy for people like that to come with their racists comments.

Not too long ago it was his kind they called “backra” ( meaning back-raw); in common  English it translate into bourgeoisie, his type in his mind thought he was white!

His kind was Dominica white people; it is his kind who chased the few white people mostly British people out of the country in the early 1960.

In his fathers day, they would not sit in circle a hundred feet  wide with Roosevelt; because of the color of his skin, those were the days when a black person could not even enter the Roseau Public Library, Black people of Roosevelt complexion could not go into a bank, and open an account; the Sorhaindo  could!

Hence the late J. B Charles, father of the late Eugenia Charles opened  a penny Bank to accommodate Black people saving their pennies in his bank.

Sorhaindo’s hate American  white people, but can’t stay out of American.

      Damn prejudice!

This speech is about one thing. It’s to please one person (Skerrit) and POLITICALLY assassinate another (Linton). It is just hollow and pointless. What’s the real purpose of DNO posting this ridiculously meaningless slime? There are many more pertinent issues seriously affecting the ordinary man, woman and child in Dominica negatively and there is deafening silence. This incumbent government is one of the world’s most corrupt administration. Its activities, mostly financial, are shrouded in almost complete darkness. There is no sunlight in this government, ubiquitous darkness all year round. It’s this same corruption that has the country so underdeveloped. Can you editorialize on this question, DNO? Please do! Is it possible for Skerrit and many of his Cabinet Ministers to lawfully accumulate such possessions ( luxurious vehicles, enormous mansions, swollen bank accounts ) from a monthly civil servant salary? Many citizens want an answer to this burning question.

    • Pipo
      August 5, 2019

Ibo, DNO must publish all comments as long as they do not break the law. Even if we don’t like these comments. I want to hear everyone, I don’ have to agree with everyone but you know, I talk to people that only listen to DBS or Kairi for example and ask myself how can such people have a balance view of what is goin on? No, I do not want censorship, Lets hear everything. DNO is doing a great job.

I concur with you Pipo. I, too, like opposing views for these can be intellectually stimulating. What I can’t tolerate is unadulterated gibberish and patent deceit, deception , hypocrisy and insincerity. That’s what this is. It’s not thoughtful, not insightful, not helpful in any way. The sole intended purpose was to vilify and tarnish Mr. Linton and the UWP while giving succour to a galloping dictatorship an a most inept concoction of misleaders. The whole article was a colossal failure of common sense.

      • RandyX
        August 6, 2019

DNO doesn’t HAVE to publish this nonsense, they just chose to do so. That’s why I said not too long ago that Skerrit must have ticked DNO of. Do you hear DBS or GIS or KAIRI broadcasting any opposition material??? I don’t mind any journalist publishing Skerrits and the DLP propaganda as long as they have the guts for the sake of being ‘impartial’ to ask these boys some uncomfortable questions like Lennox does. Does anybody hear them asking these questions??? Well then… I rest my case!

But Sir, during the 1995 elections, to my surprise you blackmailed Eugenia Charles to me and told me all kind of nasty things about Mamo because she wanted Allen Carbon to replace her as leader of the DFP. Right now you are neither DFP nor DLP but like Charles Savarin, a greedy, selfish opportunist, who is only concerned about what you can get. You feel now is your opportunity to get your hotel from Skerrit since you are from Vielle Case like him and maybe related to him. So go head and sing for your supper

You have done more for this country and for your community than many; you are dynamic and utterly selfless in your approach to life and your consideration for others. But, as a concerned citizen, I have to tell you that you are making a fool of yourself with all of this nonsense. Just leave it alone. The people you are supporting and promoting don’t care one bit about you – you are allowing your personal ire towards the opposition drive you down an unfortunate path that will inevitably result in your legacy to this country being tarnished. The DLP is using you and you are the only one who doesn’t see it. This PM, whatever his good or his bad, will never have the same stature or legacy as Mrs Charles. He is not even close. I urge you to retire in peace and with dignity, and to leave all this politics nonsense alone.

These guys realize that for them not to rot in near poverty they have to receive coolout. Therefore Rupert has hitched his wagon to the red brigade. He’s not the only one to do so, so in an effort to set himself apart he had to be seen as doing more, hence this non-sense article. Have you not been living in Dominica for years to smell that dirty, rotten, corrupted behaviour of this failed incompetent Labour? On the subject of tanks and your reference to “the June 1989 Beijing Tiananmen Square protest.” A more accurate and respectful description of what happened when one million peaceful protesters gathered in Tiananmen Square would have been “the June 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre of unarmed civilians by the Chinese military”.

This is a flippant reference to a terrible event. Whether you are correct on the issue of this blogger or not is immaterial. Dame Mary Eugenia Charles would be ashamed of the person that Rupert has become. He has become spineless and lost his moral compass. Why is he so worried about Rijock? Rupert has kept silent whilst the morals and good governance of the country have been flushed down the toilet of corruption by the Skerritt led administration. The Dame would say that government was there to do the best for the majority of citizens and help them pull themselves up by their own bootstrap. What do we have now is a government for the chosen few and a climate of dependency in the country as has never been seen before. The norms and precedents established for the government have long gone and we are in a one-man regime. A lot of scandals involving international crooks and criminals and myriad shadow dealings till international banks don’t want to have anything to do with money from the Skerritt government. I mean how low can we go? Rupert, you should be concerned about the guy who runs things in Dominica.

@Micah 2: 1 “Woe to those who devise iniquity, and work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand”

The mind of man of today’s World is so proud he doesn’t even know how foolish he is. He thinks he has absolute power over all his evil doings, ignoring the fact, there is One with Supper Unlimited Power, no one can handle, should He unleash His wrath against wicked, evil, and sinful conducts

The majority of Dominicans are a God-Fearing people and He is walking her mountains, protecting them, who abides by His Will

Those wicked and evil doers should watch their disgusting ways, for as the Book of Revelation tells us: God’s wrath can come against them when they are least expecting it. And the torment will so severe that they will call for death but it won’t come

Man, should not mess with God’s Great Power & Holiness, for he has no offense against the pitch of God’s wrath

      • August 6, 2019

@Pipo, I am not on no one’s side in that comment; I am simply speaking about the Laws of God and the way mankind seems to be mindless of it. But there are consequences for that carelessness.

The message is for both PM Skerrit and Rijock. For when it comes to God and His wrath, He strikes against those who deserve that blow, He doesn’t pick and choose.

What you need to do is ask yourself where do you stand with Him, just as I myself is doing.

        • Pipo
          August 6, 2019

Elisabeth, I appreciate that. Everyone is responsible for his or her own deeds and must account for them. Blaming someone else or something else does not change the fact that I, you and every other individual must account for themselves. What do you think happens at the last judgement?

You just ‘forget’ to publish it but Sorhaindos nonsense you are quite happy to give it a go.

ADMIN: No “tick off” was received from anyone. In that comment you launched a personal attack against the manager which goes against our comment policy.

Rupert, you were a strong political opponent of the Labor Party in the sixties. You were at the forefront of demonstrations against the Patrick John led Administration. You have changed your colors from Green to Red. Mr. Rijock has changed his ways, and has become a model citizen, what is your problem. He was a convicted money launderer, but at present, he is a Compliance Officer specializing in enhanced due diligence, also a Financial Crime Consultant.

This Rupert Sorhaindo fella would do better, helping to find a solution to the growing bribery and corruption culture in D/ca.

The effect of these allegations on our lives is umbearable. Allegations surrounding political corruption through wide-spread use of “cool outs”. Allegations surrounding the use of powers by government officials or their network contacts for illegitimate private gain. Allegations surrounding extortion, cronyism, nepotism, parochialism, patronage, influence peddling, graft, and embezzlement… it seems the list is too numerous to mention.

    LOL….SING SOKORO SING.
A few weeks ago you shamelessly proclaimed JI the traitor the best thing after roast yam-pein, herring with cucumber salad and cocoa tea so what do we expect from you next?

Unfortunately for you sir the matter of Dca’ Presidency has been decided and Charlo will not let go as long as the money and benefits remain that good. Further, Mr. Blanchard, like it or not is his designated alternative/ replacement so you are third in line IF ever the possibility presents itself. Like a hungry sparrow on a pwa-doo branch in the heights of glow-gummier continue to sing for your supper but be reminded that the greedy days of the cabal which includes you are quickly coming to an end sir. Remember I told you so.

This article is no more than suppositions, loose allegations and frankly foolishness. The writer’s sole intention is to smear the opposition leader. In recent times more than 50% of the articles posted on DNO are about the political plans and speeches of DLP candidates. To avoid being labeled as biased, one or two articles are published about the UWP. Undoubtedly, the coverage by DNO of the present political state of affairs in Dominica is stacked in favor of the incumbent party. That’s just my honest observation. Despite this, I’m strongly convinced that Dominicans will kick Skerrit and his servile disciples through the EXIT DOOR. The article again is unhelpful, accusatory, empty and only intended to discredit the much targeted Mr. Linton.

Are you sure Mr. Rijock has been convicted of any crime? If not, you may be defaming his character and causing him to lose clients for which you could be legally liable to compensate him. Who is your lawyer? If you say Tony, you in trouble.
We know this is a diversion tactic cooked up by you, Tony, Clarence and the other damage control clean up team. It will not work. I still must ask this question. Where is the money? Oh ti largent ah?

Yes, where is our money bro. That is what you must address, not showing Skerro and Tony’s hand that they are scared of Rijock. Tony try to sueRijock already but that fail and Tony had to leave Florida instead. Maybe we did not study as much as you but dont underestimate us Rupert, we are not stupid.

You have absolutely no credibility and a waste of time. All of you people that was singing the chorus of good and accountable government when this corruption and bobol staring you right in your face instead of standing for what is right you partake in the corrupt practices but carry on your time coming.

With all due respect (not really), while you are concerned with Rijock…we are preoocupied with our passport money.

Go tell the Prime Minister you continue to compromise your integrity for that he OWES us accountability because the passports are our property. That is the issue at hand Sir. That is our concern. Not this ridiculous non-issue above.
