A lifeless body of a man was discovered the Portsmouth public cemetery near Chance early Sunday morning.
The body has been identified as Philson “Blee” Andrew.
Police spokesman Claude Weekes said the preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was last seen on Thursday in Portsmouth.
The body was officially pronounced dead at the scene and awaits a coroner’s inquest.
“Police are continuing their investigations,” Weekes said.

the body wasn’t pronounced dead – the victim/ person was and the body is not awaiting a coroner’s inquest.

Thank you very much for the response. I knew them as we all grew up in Zicack together. They were my neighbours. I am really saddened to hear of this tragic circumstances . Peace be unto Philson and may his soul rest in Peace.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to his mom , dad , siblings and family. May the good Lord guide and protect them in this sad moment.
Do pass on those comments to the judicial system in the systems that is riddled with corruption and sending a disproportionate amount of people and men of colour to the death penalty.
That is all good and well if the person is actually 100000% ‘guilty’, what happens to the ones who are actually 1000000% ‘not guilty’ but some how found themselves trapped in the system?
Let’s be clear here and sit back, calm down, look at the issues and problems that more developed countries still encounter in terms of capital punishment and not be to hasty to implement or advocate for the ‘death penalty’ to be introduced in Dominica without careful thorough research and discussion, as you may find yourself preaching a totally different surmon if one of your friends or relatives was accused of such a crime but was in fact totally innocent, yet sentenced to death.
Let’s first follow the guidelines to collate and preserve all the relevant evidence first without any contamination, so that when the case makes its way to court there is not misunderstanding or confusion as to whether that individual is 1000000% guilty as there has to be beyond a resonable doubt that this is the case. No maybe, or perhaps in such cases I am afraid.
Having said this my sincere sympathies are extended to the family of the deceased man and as some other people have right pointed out, let’s stop the back biting and rumour mongering as we don’t know what transpired or at least not at this point.

It’s in moments like these that it really HURTS TO BE A DOMINICAN, got my friends sending me emails asking how can my people behave like this, making such comments. we do that because we can hide behind ”funny names”, but what we sow is what we will reap. Blee and I grew up togerther, I pray that none of you have to go through that kind of thing. If one have a heart, one would feel it, to see the man’s kids running to see a dead body, just to see it’s their dad’s, and we sit behind our PC’s and make funny comments, one day,one day. It is actually a crime to commit or attempt suicide. And take this seriously people, all suicides or suicidal attempts should be reported to the police so that the people can receive the kind of help they need. Usually if let unattended to suicidal people trend to become murderers as well.

People… a man is dead – he may not be related to you or mean anything to you, but your insensitive remarks will come back and bite you. Remember that we all MUST DIE…and we do not know how. It may just be that sooner or later, that some insensitive sentiment will be expressed about you.

These comments are ???? if the cadaver resembles (as per DNO incomplete report )one that was not buried,there are posibilities.
1) was it dumped there post homicide.

Finally, the minister of Breast consumption can maybe able to clarifyfor us. His former job was receiving import cadervers for Ross med school. He pathologically educated us on the relationship between teethless consumption of Chicken breasts from backs and necks. he can use his knowledge and experience in the correlation between a cadaver found in a cemetry and likely cause of death. After all it , near enough to his constituency and it is his former stumping grounds.
