Two lawsuits for defamation have been filed in the St. Kitts & Nevis high court against Charles Jong, who until recently was employed in Dominica as a government communications consultant.
Claim no SKBHCV2014/0134, filed on July 2, 2014 is between Timothy Harris the Claimant and Nigel Carty, Clement “Junie” Liburd trading as Freedom 106.5 FM and Charles Jong doing business as “Disseminateit.”
According to the Claim Form, Jong doing business as “Disseminateit” is and was at all material times, the owner and operator of “Disseminateit”.
“Disseminateit” is a business entity offering communication services which includes distributing information to the public in various forms and via various media.
According to the suit, the Third Defendant (Jong) doing business as “Disseminateit,” uploaded and continues to upload video clippings of public meetings of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party via a YouTube account under the username “Disseminateit”.
In further states, that, “On April 11, 2013 during the course of a public meeting in Mansion Village held by the St. Kitts & Nevis Labour Party, the First Defendant falsely and maliciously published and the second and third defendant caused to be published of and concerning the Claimant, and of concerning the Claimant, in the way of his said profession and calling …” (Note that we cannot republish the defamatory words.)
The claimant’s attorney wrote to the first, send and third defendants, setting out the defamatory statements and demanded that an apology be issued but both the second and third (Jong) have failed to render an apology.
The second lawsuit, SKBHCV2014/0135, is between Timothy Harris as Claimant and Denzil Douglas (PM of St. Kitts), Clement Liburd and Charles Jong as defendants.
In that claim form, Harris through the law firm, Daniel, Brantley & Associates, claims that at a public meeting of the St. Kitts & Nevis Labour Party held in Saddlers in St. Kitts on or about July 18, 2013 the first defendant falsely and maliciously spoke in the presence and hearing of all persons present at the said meeting words, which were defamatory to him and the third defendant, Jong, uploaded the video clippings of that meeting via a YouTube account under the user name “Disseminateit.”
In both suits, Harris is seeking an injunction restraining the 1st defendant (Nigel Carty)the 2nd defendant Clement “Junie” Liburd trading as Freedom 106.5 FM Radio and the third defendant, Jong, doing business as “Disseminateit” by himself, his agents or servants or otherwise from further publishing the said or similar defamatory statements upon the claimant.
Harris is also seeking damages for defamation, cost, interest and such further relief as the court deems just.

i like this country
thats all i have to say!!!
According to the saying, “easy come, easy go.” Approximately one year ago, the Skeritt led DLP Government paid Jong $96,000. I hope he saved some of that money, it might come in very handy.
Why are we saddled with this man why do we get everything that is rejected by the world. We have qualified people in the country why do we have to pay this man thousands
Who cares… What that have to do with the price of sugar?
