    “CONGRATULATIONS” :-D

One of the great undiscovered joys of life comes from doing everything one attempts to the best of one’s ability. There is a special sense of satisfaction, a pride in surveying such a work, a work which is rounded, full, exact, complete in its parts, which the superficial person who leaves his or her work in a slovenly, slipshod, half-finished condition, can never know. It is this conscientious completeness which turns any work into art. The smallest task, well done, becomes a miracle of achievement.

    Congratulations! Shoot for the stars.

Take a bow. Hear the applause? You deserve it. You’ve played the game and it looks like youve won. Congratulations! I hope you’ve had fun.

Give the world the best you have, and the best will come to you! Congratulations!

Well done and congratulations! The fruit of your labor is sweet, and I must say you deserve it.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Congratulations from all of us. You’re a star in our eyes!

@Deputy: Come on! Are your comments to be taken seriously? At this stage of his carreer you think it’s a good idea to send him to the UK? The man would be set in his ways by now! Your silly suggestion has earned you a demotion from Deputy to lance corprol.

@Alvaro: Greetings I believe that the two pips on the shoulders are the rank of Inspector ASP is three. That was changed some years ago. Anyman can be appointed to any rank or moved up any number of ranks to a top rank. In Grenada a Sergeant of Police was appointed Chief of Police. There is a term called Sucession Planing and we need to allow the futre managers of the Force to get their feet wet while we still are blessed with the seniors who can impact knowledge and guide them. Would you rather wait until all the Superintendents retire. Remember what happen to West Indies Cricket. All the stars retired almost at once and that is why we are where we are today. Someone may be a good Investigator but not a good Administrator and there are so many things that are considered to give someone an appointment. Mr Carbon is a young man in comparism to the Acting Chief and other seniors and its time to prepare him. Lets wish them well. Peace.

I wonder where all the good ones gone. I say this to mean where is ag Supt. Yvonne Alexander ( A woman who received an honour from the IACCP or ICAAP in Austrailia) and Supt Severin, ASp Andrew and the rest. This gentle man will be be retiring sometimes next year and there is nothing in place for a COP .
Mr H.Jno.Baptise could not do anything because the govt had him by his throat Carette could talk shit and say what he want ( the day the incident happened in Mahaut with the young woman He became Judge Juror and executioner at the same time saying that the young woman murder her children om Q 95 with Matt in the morning) This is very senitive and I believe he should not say that the court will hang him for saying that. The young lady was I believe suffering with a problem and no one saw that and she took life I believe. For a police of long service He talk to DAM MUCH when he have a PRO ( Insp Weekes my heart go out to you my brother you are a worker in the Force but at present you are in the north I wonder weather you can function properly but you a one of the good ones but by what you say they send you up there but I say to you keep out the good work.

The govt is putting there people in place so when things happen they can get their information when they leave office e.g John David is ASP today when this man di not worry a HELL WITH THE POLICE FORCE and is saying now who to promote and not like this is when Skerrit was living at his home and going to Colledge ( As Karessay said WE GO SEE)
For you Carbon, you did your damage in the Ministry with your close one and today you are DCP ? the Women Collition should campaign against you for that position you now hold because when policemen or women have this problem with their love one you will not solve it because you are a KING PING TO DV. Money was found in the possession of A DRUG MAN IN THE NORTH he did no work at all thousand of US$ and you told the policemen to give the man back his money I wonder how much you got infront of that christmans time.

I hope the two of you all will do better than those who were there but I tell you with 4 murders in 6 days I don’t see it because you all do not have the coorperation of the force but to the older policemen and women, it’s a pain in you all heart do what you all have to do and stay safe let David run his force WE GO SEE.

I am very disappointed in the Police Service. Firstly, it took 10 plus or more years to complete a website for a National Radio station none of us could have logged on to read anything unheard of even in the African countries or Haiti. I could not believe also of all the people the Government gave scholarships or upportunities or studied privately could not build or maintain a website. It was Cacafete and a few other privately owned online media houses that were online….what a shame?

I want someone to explain to me why Mr. Claude Weekes is constantly being referred to as Inspector when clearly there are 2 Pips each on his top shoulders displaying his rank of ASP, I always wondered about that, clearly something is wrong.

What is even more amazing to me is the fact that an ASP now is moving up 3 ranks to deputize for Mr. Carrette u mean there is no Superintendent or Assistant Commissioners in the Dominica Police force? something is radically wrong here it’s like the others have been decapitated or not worthy to serve their Country, my God….no wonder there is not even a website which is common practice right now by most Constabularies or Police Forces around the world. We have so many trained website designers in the caribbean and even in Dominica! something needs to be done, u mean none of the Police Officers have computer training in IT management and or website designing? I am sure without a doubt that some corporate Citizen would be willing to assist in that regard.

Mr. Carrette I am well aware of your distinguished career in Policing from the ’70s but Sir please somethings have to be put in place before u retired. Too many simple things need to be done and is not done it’s like we are light years away from the present realities facing us. This is why sometimes the Citizenry are so upset and have no confidence in their Police Force.

I see now u have crime on the Increase unabated it is just going to be a matter of time before a Foreign National come and run the Police Force to deal with so much of the inadequacies that currently plagued the police force……just a matter of time. I hope these comments will be a wake up call for the Force…..very disappointing. Good luck to you Mr. Carrette, Officer Weekes and the entire Police force…much love and blessings.

I am so proud of these two gentlemen. May the good Lord bless you both as you reighn over the police force. Please take the comment on articulation as a constructive one.

  13. September 21, 2010

Gentlemen, I have known bth of you as good as I know myself in the police service, and I know you both mean well. Ypu all have the support of the rank and file of the force to take the force to a higher level. We nned to revisist the 80’s and early 90’s when efficiency was the hallmark of the police.

I know you all can bring that back the force.

    Mr. Carrette,

You have a very unenviable position. Dominica needs strong leadership. The police force needs a no nonsense person. Mr.Jno. Baptiste was simply too soft. Looks like the fairer sex is having the better of him. Hope he does not coem back to the position. We need tough cops to reign in the lawlessness that has gripped this country. There is no more time to waste. Four murders in six days, the drug “papas” countinue with their unrelenting efforts at killing the society in every way.. That is too much too much for our country. Go for it. here’s wishing you every good luck. We need cops with the testicular fortitude to withstand the wiles of the enemy. Mr. Carbon, I do not know you but give Mr. Carrette the assistance he needs. Try something

Now you have the chance to prove yourself. The last time you told me your hands were tied because you are not in charge so let me see what you got. Now first thing is to clean the comess upstairs…u know what I mean. Then, have an internal investigation on those accused of being in the drug trade and have the file ready for the commissioner’s return. By the way congratulations.

Oh, and how comes we have an ASP acting as Deputy? What happen to all those Superintendents that is higher in rank above this gentleman? Hmmmmmmmm, is this a case of preference to the boys from the North? I guess you have somebody looking over your shoulder on behalf of the supreme leader. Well, I hate to say it but on second thought your hands still tie. What a joke in the CDPF! Any blind man can see what is happening.

.Cyril Carrette You are a waste of time and I don’t believe you can do the Job…. All you police officers can do is to seat on you all Ass and do nothing to reduce crime in the country.. Dominica image has change drastically due to lack of policing and politics in policing. Before the PM select you for Commissioner I think he need to send you to the Uk for further training in order for you to perform your job effectively without prejudice nor favour……
