I used to boast to my friends in America that while all islands have their problems, Dominica isn’t like that. Told them that while I have my American passport, I will always keep my Dominican passport because I will need it to “run back home”. I used to boast and say “google us, you will see for yourself, crime rate next to nothing, stable economy, etc., etc.” Now I am SCARED and ASHAMED to say that. Everytime I come to DNO is nothing but bad news: murders, stabbings, shootings, political corruption. Alas, alas…what have we come to? Have we sould our contry to the Devil? Where did we go wrong? When will this madness end? It is really time for Dominicans to stand up and demand a stop to this. Our country is too small for things like this to be happening, day after day, after day. There is blood on the streets of every village and as I see it, on the hands of the government who sit idly by, dedicating time and resources to other things while Dominicans kill themselves.

I don’t have the answer but there has to be a way to put an end to this. 2011 is coming and if 2010 is any indication of what is to come I am more than scared. Dominicans stand up and take back Dominica.

I trully beleive whats goes around comes around but we leave that in Gods hands as there is such a thing as Karma.

NO human being has the right to take a life of another and the guy(s) who murdered these 2 brothers should not be looked at as a figure to be praised.

Those who are rejoicing just remember the person who killed these 2 brothers are no different form them. The brothers were accused of being killers no what do you call the people or person who killed them.

Some people come onto DNO and comment without even thinking about what they are saying just remeber we all have family good and bad. So when your talking remember a spoken word is very powerful.

I just also want to say there are alot of people saying that the country is this and the country is that. But answer me this what are you doing to make a diffrence ?

Stop being a fool. The girl is mourning her brother. No matter what our family is we still love them. Isola and Josiah had family just like you and they got love just like you. If they were my brother I would feel the same way. You think if my brothers go murdered and I came on DNO and saw all these comments I would be happy? You people are too small minded man. At least she put her name. I dare you to put yours and say who you are…

I remember when the teacher asked Isola to draw something on the board. He didn’t want to so he came and put a dot on there. When the teacher asked, “Isola what is that?” He replied, “Miss well that there is a plane but it is so far up in the sky that you can’t see it properly.” By then the entire class was laughing. RIP Isola you were far from perfect but you were a human being.. No one deserves to be murdered.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all have done wrong at one point in life, and no one is right or wrong. Josiah and Esola were their own person, what they did is with God, he gives and he takes away too. I saw Esola two days before his death. The night before his death I dreamt of him and his brother and there were big snakes all around them, i awoke from sleep and knew something would happen but i didnt know what yet. I looked for the older brother Esola to talk to him about my strange dream but to no avail he wasnt around. All i can say is rest in peace. :(

This is very sad. No mother should have to bury their child, no matter if they were good or bad.

There are some saying that they deserved it. Lets just stop and ask ourselves, what would we do if our sons were to take on a life of crime. Would we ignore and pretend all was well. Would we show disgust and show them the door. I worry about my son and he would never think of living a life of crime (he has me to answer to), and that was not how he was raised. I worry becasue there is always someone out there who does not respect their life or anyone elses. My son doesnot even live in Dominica, so we parents worry no matter where our children are.

We are living in a world where young men are thinking that they can take what they want, when they want and blow the consequences. It is up to us as parents to nurture and guide them.

So lets not celebrate and dance on the Remy’s graves, or the graves of anyone we dont like.

I am from the Grandbay community and i am not ashamed of who I am. Some people make bad choices, it is very easy for spirits to enter us once we give permission and so they control us if we are not strong enough to fight them. I sympathize with the mohter of these young men and hope that others will take the opportunity to change.

@Eddina Jame :Child chill. You know what your brothers were doing, so you cant expect ppl to feel sorry for them. They were acting the fool and terrorizing the whole community, DA and St Thomas. Dont be pissed at the world cause you could not stand up to your brothers and tell them to change their lives. They left St Thomas after killing folks and come down to the same area where these ppl family live and still act the fool. They got what they deserved. If they were atleast trying to help the community and behave they could get some sympathy. Oh well, now your family will feel what they have been doing to other families. Peace!!

DON! It will take me all day or some time to read those 461 comments which I would love to read. Later!
Someone commented that the/she did not know that people had that time on Christmas Day to read the article and to comment. There are people who are home on Christmas Day. Some are busy cooking, especially the mothers and wives while some of the daughters and sons may not be doing much. There are others who are invited out and did not have to prepare a Christmas meal. Therefore, they could have time to access the Internet. I do not view this as surprising. It is a simple and easy matter to access the Internet if one has a computer system in their home. I could easily do this at any time of day or night if I am indoors even though I am busy. This is what we say, “taking time out” to know what is occurring in especially Dominica.
At this time I have some things to do and then to go out but I am taking time to read DON.
Having stated that I am shocked and saddened that yet two brothers were murdered on Christmas Day (?) What can I say about that?
If those people would worship God and practice the faith as they should and sincerely, they would not murder.
Those who kill will not only be dealt with by the Law of the land as in Dominica but God will deal with them in His own time.
My heartfelt sympathy to their family and friends who are mourning their loss.
If we wish to live a happy and peaceful life, it is better to do good than to do evil.
The government also needs to reach out to every villager and educate people if it expects the country to be free of such crimes and murders and to eradicate same. I do have confidence that it could be done for especially a small country.
Teach the children well from youth, parents, church, government and schools. All are equally responsible. All are to cooperate if they want a good and safe society.
    May God bless them accordingly.

Speak and write about this. Primarily, they need the blessing and grace of God. If they do not practice the faith and genuinely so, they are also lacking in mortal (moral) and spiritual enlightenment and perfection. When are some of you people going to comprehend this?
God is giving you signs as always, the whys and wherefores, the reason why all these things occur and you fail to recognize it. We need to live godly lives. Pray to HIm for godly inspiration.

we all are being faced with situations where we have to make our decisions. they r not the only ppl who didnt have a good family structure. we all must be held accountable for our wrong doings.
it dnt feel sorry for either one of them it only hurts tht more children are going to b raised without a father without the father structure n thts where it get bad. am not saying tht ppl has the right to just take others life but what goes around comes aronud we hear it in songs every where. the world is a cycle what u sow thts wat u reap. karma is alive ppl n its real so some of making excuses for these boys ridiculous behavior stop.

Eddine u a being very ignorant telling that person to shove it where the sun don’t shine, these folks a telling u how they feel I’m sure some of them live in the same community as ur brothers. Some feared for their lives not knowing what could happen to their families. I know they were ur brothers and u loved them unconditionally but ur brothers terrorized the lives of the people around them, remember what u sow u shall reap, and they definitely didn’t sow good seeds. God always has his ways of doing things so maybe this was his way of putting a stop to that ungodly lifestyle that Isola nd Josiah lived. I know wen u read my comment the first word out ur mouth will be (this bitch) ur brothers made a conscious choice to live Crazy lifestyles. Hope u nd Raisa learn from their mistakes to be able to make better choices. God never gives us too much to bear always remember

    December 27, 2010

With disgust I condemn the killing that has taken place in my beautiful Country, my home village of Grand Bay. I will say these, none of us; as individual is immune from crime. We are all victims in this sad situation. whatever you may have thought of the brothers, who lost thier lives, we all have our cross to carry. I do not condone their life styles, and as the old saying goes, how you make your bed, thats the way you are going to sleep in it.

For those who are trying to isolate it as a Grand Bay problem, I say to you look over your shoulders. Le` bab kanmawad ou pwi diffe’ pwan glo wouze sa’w.

It was July 12, 2006. On November 1st 2005, during raid by police in Grand Bay, members the Drug Squad of the Commonwealth of Dominic Police force, Hilarion Baron, was killed by the police.
Along came a true son of the soil, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Dr. Peter K. B. St. Jean, Who conducted a survey which provided the leaders of this country with a road map of how to deal with the problem of crime in Dominica as a whole.

The Community policing program was started at Grand Bay; which saw a significant reduction in crime in the village even though the program was only 47% implemented; yet it yielded over 60% of its expected sign of progress. Serious crime in Grand Bay had declined by about 26% while residents had also expressed increased willingness to intervene informally and report crimes to the police.

However, by the year 2000, the Grand Bay Community Policing Program was discontinued. Now, tell me when Government comes and talk tough on crime, yet a program that was design to help us to deal with a situation, we can’t seems to find money to fund a program that is so vital to law and order in our country.

I asked the question, what is our policy on crime in Dominica? We have folks committing crime in other Countries, and they ran to Dominica, why don’t we have a policy in place to track these folks down and send them back to face justice? Or better yet why don’t we have a system in place to keep monitoring these high risk individuals so they do not commit violent crimes in Dominica? Dominicans need to know, what the Government position on crime, in Dominica is. Mr. Weeks says crime is down.

Many people are heartless. They have no feelings for the pain that mothers suffer when they lose their children in situations like what happeened to Isolah and Josiah remy. Can you imagine the pain the mother is going through by being presented with such a devasting gift on Christmas day?

Put yourselves in her shoes and see how you would feel to see that your two sons were murdered on Christmas day.

A wrong must not be used to correct a wrong. And all those who are rejoicing are not humans they are animals. I pray for the souls of the departed and I pray that the mother find strength and support to cope with her greif and sufferring.

Right this minute I’m almost ashamed to be from Grandbay because it is appalling to see people rejoice over the death of another human being.
Everyone chooses his own path in life.

Regardless of what they did they were fathers to kids who will now grow up not knowing their father.

They were the sons of a mother who has to bury two children on the same day.

There were partners to women who now must raise their kids as single parents.

It is very sad that its only when someone dies people give their honest opinions of them. Why smile with someone & why choke on your words when the person is alive and run on DNO to vent when they are dead ? Bunch of hypocrites ! Nobody is completely good and nobody is completely bad. Everyone has a bit of both!

    RIP Josiah (J.R) & Isolah .

This sad all the way around. Someone asked this question that got me thinking: “What makes their killers better than them?” I do not know the answer to that one. This is not a Grand Bay issue. This is a Dominica issue.

It seems like “Mob Like Justice” has taken over. I’m lost for words with this one. It’s just sad. We do not have the right to take life irrespective of our feelings for each other. If life and death decisions are now based on feelings, chaos is the answer. Resist the urge to judge and kill each other. It’s only destroying my home sweet home.

What I have to say is to turn to God. How many of you prayed this morning when you woke up. How many of you prayed with your children or encouraged them to pray. How many of you asked the Lord to bless your meals. How many of you pray or pray with your children before bed. Well, from the number of children I have taken care of, not many. Everyone expects God to do something, or only pray in times of trouble, send their children to religious school so they can get best education, it’s everybody else job, but theirs. Time for a change. Those who want to leave God out of this issue, well this is the work of the devil, so you can’t. If everyone turned to God their would be peace not war. So I urge all Dominicans to start praying now and start bringing up your children to know God. Then we can have a peaceful nation. So remember to pray for D/ca tonight, and for the rest of your life…PRAYER WORKS…this trend CAN change. We have the power – God given. Don’t expect the gov’t to make change, when the change is in every one of us. JOINTLY WE CAN DO THIS STARTING FROM NOW!

Why are so many people concerned about the fact that this happened in Grandbay? Is that what Dominica and Dominicans have come to? Instead of dealing with the issue – 2 men were murdered, the issues seems to be – Grandbay – the scene of 2 murders!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on people…. get a life, grow up, get a brains, get whatever it is you guys are lacking.

The issue here is that 2 young men lost their lives, The issue here is that these kind of violent deaths are occurring to often in little Dominica.

The issue is not about the government failing to provide work or whatever it is you guys expect them to do. From some of the comments, it appears that these two grew up in St Thomas…so let’s not blame Grandbay or Dominica for their life styles or their deaths.

Sometimes, I blame parents, because they know the kids lifestyles and fail to do something about it. I may be one of the few that would call the cops on my kid, if ever I found out that my child is living the dangerous, “gangsta”, whatever life these Dominicans call it.

So at the end of the day… if they were not products of Dominica or Grandbay, why blame the 2… their lifestyles may be the reason for their deaths, but irrespective, no one deserves to have their lives cut off just like that….

    may their souls R.I.P

Well i must say that i took the opportunity to read some of the comments before posting one myself. Its a tough situation as i see people are consumed with mixed emotions and conflicting views, but let me begins by saying i understand. I’m aware that the young men hurt and affected alot of individuals in their quest for NAME or STATUS form the general public. Why they choose this path i do not know and will never know.
I also understand that the lives that were taken and the individuals who were hurt will feel an overwhelming sense of joy and will even rejoice. it is a natural reaction, humans tend to fight back when they are hurt or pressed down especially when justice was never received, so trust me i understand. The only thing i don’t get is when we take the law into our own hands. when we choose to fight back that way we put ourselves in the same category with the bad ones. we become the very thing we hate. so allow me to give the word of advice. there is justice in God. He works in mysterious way n the good thing about his work is that when he is done taken care of the problem no one is confused and the is no sadness. so please sought justice from God he will not fail us.

they did all their riot in st.thomas yes, but that doesn’t make their killer any beta than them. he had no possible right to kill them. many people in st.thomas are probably rejoicing to hear that these boys are dead but then again y should a mother get trouble for her children? which is what she used to do back up there.right now she has to bury both. they both have children..an these are the ones who will be without a father.let the man with no sin cast the first stone..we all are sinners and god is the only one who has the right to take a life..yes u live by the gun so u die by it an so will his killer..they all die by it. and ppl stop bathing on grand bay like it is the only place where murders take place…murders happen in different villages in dominica..so u mean wen it happens in other villages it’s a surprise to the ppl..stop being ridiculous that shouldn’t be surprising at all. so many things happenin they are not putin it on news but as long is grand bay everybody bathing…it happens eveywhere.grand bay is my community and e all love it.. so rest in peace my boyz SWAT AND JOE

Some people are going to be upset with what i am about to say on this topic..so if u was a friend of these ..holes..DON’T READ..The older one off the two..is the first one to blame for his brother’s death cause he set no good examples for him..living in stt for many years,we all started off as friends from Grandbay Dominica, migrated to stt for a better life and way off living..but after the first two years there was a mass change.SWAT,turned badman, fighting his own people for bolds…,the same people that would help him when he was broke or needed anything that he could not provided for himself,i guess he wanted to be the Badman of (NADAHILL).His little brother joe was the good kid, until turning into a teenager and started following big Bro with the bolds….our first bad encounter was when he wanted to fight for what was not his to begin with.we were no longer friends from that point on.i guess he thought i was like the rest that he bullied and got what he wanted cause they were scared off him.we exchange gunfire but from that point on he knew that was a tree he was not willing to climb again.anyways his bad deeds went on..taking lives from people like he was god, hurting Innocent people in violent acts on the streets of stt.shot one of my family members, and also involved in the murder of one,so do i have the right to be happy that his was cut short?well u let me know..at one point in my life i was planing on taking him out myself, but i have grown up,and instead protect people’s life with my own, from other manics like him.i am speaking on this matter not only because i knew the nonsense that he did but the lives that was affected by it.i really wish that joe had another chance at it, for the only reason that he did not have a good role model..may their soul rest, but this has nothing to do with government, these guys was given the opportunity at a better life while others remained in Dominica to do the best with what they had.But they choose their destiny.NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES..SORRY..

Protective……Law, I understand all what you have said and I do share your point of view that they were trouble trees. However, your write up would have been complete if you had made mention of the shooter who took them out. This act does not make him any better than the two victims were. We cannot continue to send this message to our young men that it is ok to take the law into their hands every time there are trouble makers in the society. It is so much easier for us outside the kitch(the heat) to kind of indicate that they worked for it but we forget to mention that there is a young man(the shooter) presently in the kitchin. He too has children and other family members not sleeping at nights. So the question is: Was that the best decision to take their lives?

Now i tried hard to see if i could remember these boys but i couldn’t and still trying to figure it out. But i’m hoping everyone reads this because what you just said could just be it. and maybe just maybe your’re an ‘ex close friend’… I know it probably took you even more to come here and write this but letting the people know the true story behind his and others acts, is what makes you stronger, because sometimes that’s the only way we can let go and breathe. Maybe too, you are even heart broken to see him go down like this and you can’t show it but you just did and I commend you. may their souls rest. like they say we are not the one’s to judge. take care and thank you for that brief

Just give thanks to God that we may have received your message. I am number 45 thumbs up, which looks like you really do not deserve a thumbs down.

As someone said yesterday, which I commended, circumstances in our lives are the way by which God demonstrates His judgment. Unfortunately, when we are the victims, we and those who are on our sides will quickly cry out foul, bawling against the conducts and attitude of everyone we know, accusing and condemning them of wrong doings against us.

The question is: how often do we look within ourselves as we ask, where did I go wrong? I hope that most of us will consider the basic theme of your message “that we produce the fruits of the seeds we sow and nurture in Life”.

Are you saying that vigilante justice is taking over DA?

Is there a list of people to be taken out?

If so, are you allowed to say who is next?

So if I commit a crime in the V.I and then run go to DA, are you saying that the vigilantes will come DA and take me out?

The country is not lawless. In case you guys have forgotten we have one of the lowest crime rates in the world. Crimes will always be committed no matter what government of prime minister you put there so why is everyone blaming the government of the day for the problems of the state. People are claiming that more jobs need to be created but how can you create jobs for people who are not willing to work. Some young men get opportunities to earn a dollar and still they prefer sitting on the side of the road earning the drug money. Then they turn around and blame the system.

I know what you are trying to say. But Love is a disciplining and training of the mind, which enhance this mind to process and produce attitude and conducts that demonstrate the nature of God through us; for God is Love and Love is Life in us by faith in Jesus Christ. By our faith, God gives the wisdom and understanding that we need to pass His ways of Love to our children, and all of those who do not have it, for that matter.

Hugs and kisses is human affection–a emotion controlled by the flesh–that manifest in us today, but is gone tomorrow. That treatment does make our children to be good men and women of tomorrow.

I hope for the sake of our Dominica and her humble people, that everyone of us will take heed to your plead. That is a true lamentation for our country and her people; as Satan continues to manipulate the minds of the proud, haughty, arrogants, and especially those who are foolishly, ignorant.

We fail to realize that he–Satan–is having a ball, watching us attempting to destroy our lives and that of our loved ones in Dominica. But faith and trust in God Almighty is my witness, as I command Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ, to leave my country and her people alone, and to accept his defeat.

People of Dominica, Satan cannot win over God’s authority, regardless if he is working through the most powerful person there. Believe that he has already been defeated as Jesus said: “I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD”–meaning its system of evil and wickedness Those of you Dominicans, at home and abroad, who are thinking differently through your negative attitude, try to get that Truth into your empty minds! And strive for Life in your own soul!

:?: Dominican condone murder!!!! Everytime someone that most people did not like gets killed everyone rejoices and feels comfortable!!! Therefore if someone kills me right now and the vilage doesnt like me does that mean i deserve it?
Yes they may have been village riots and trouble makers but where is the justification coming from for the murderer to kill them. what makes the new killer different now?
God has a purpose for everyone and perhaps he had other means of taking them from the earth. Why should another human being play God. Sorry all sin is sin. The murder is not blameless in God’s eyes.
God has nothing to do with such acts. The ten commandments says thou shalt not killl. God is not going to change his mind when a “bad” person is killed. :?:

As we all know we have alot of young mothers in our community,as we know some of them are still children them self.
And they are the one giving birth to children, some of our problem is because for that, so we need to come together and work with them before it is too late.

We as mothers in Grand Bay we like to blame other people when our children going the wrong way, and we like to say to our children my neighbour put evil on you, so our children taking that as the ticket to do the wrong things.plesae starting today let us reflect on where we went wrong.

They know and hear of all the people who have the illegal hardware, trust me, that’s the problem and ‘The sad thing’.

The St. Aromant fire at G.O.N.E Emanuel is suspicious and rather funny. Our Police need to be meticulous with their investigations. It is hoped that the investigations will be thorough and begin with the complainant and victims. Among the several questions to be answered are:- Was that vehicle in proper working condition prior to the incident? Is the owner having sleepless nights? Was he at any midnight mass? Why attack his vehicle and not himself? Was there a breaking in or a breaking out? Police, do a proper job please>

Oh Please, give me a break. What do you mean no one is surprised since its Grand Bay. Did you read the above post carefully? Or more specifically can you read? Not every crime happens in Grand Bay. Stop being so narrow minded and use your mind to come up with solutions to help our country. For example, the woman who killed both of her kids was she from Grand Bay? No. She wasn’t. Does that mean it was surprising to you since it wasn’t Grand Bay? I do not condone any violence whether its in capuchin or Roseau or Grand Bay. If you do not have any meaningful comment to make, read and move on. Do not post. Because by making such idiotic comments you are only adding to the problem, not helping.

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

1Then I said, “Listen, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel.Should you not know justice,

    2 You who hate good and love evil:;who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;

3 Who eat my people’s flesh, strip off their skin and break their bones in pieces; who chop them up like meat for the pan, like flesh for the pot?”

4Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. At that time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done.

5This is what the Lord says: As for the prophets who lead my people astray, if one feeds them,
they proclaim ‘peace’; if he does not, they prepare to wage war against him.

6Therefore night will come over you, without visions, and darkness, without divination. The sun will set for the prophets, and the day will go dark for them.

7The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

As usual fingers are being pointed everywhere!! Everywhere but where they should be pointed at!! LEGAL REFORM is needed in DOMINICA!! Our current laws are the Updated Laws of 1992!!! This is 2010 and the level of crime is escalating!! The impunity with which these individuals act in Dominica right now has passed the point of serious concern!! It is time for us to rally, protest, use the radio stations, internet, newspapers and the best of all, our GOSSIP TIME to place pressure on those responsible for drawing-up, implementing/enforcing the laws of this country. Who governs this country??? WE the people on the ground do!! WE have the power to get the job done buy forcing our leaders to do their jobs!!! Where is the Minister for NATIONAL SECURITY!!! When gunshot victims are succumbing left and right to their wounds, and perpetrators walk freely among us this a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY!!!. Who is calling for the police to get better investigative training, who is calling for updated equipment for the police, who is calling for communities to start COMMUNITY WATCH PROGRAMMES!! Who is demanding for the government to protect the PEOPLE of Dominica?? I am not interested in Labour Party issues or Skerritt issues, I am interested in WHO IS GOING TO CHANGE THE LAWS OF DOMINICA and WHEN ARE DOMINICANS GOING TO WORK TOGETHER FOR A BETTER DOMINICA?????

Well some of what u said is true but even if u have laws what can that do for the hoodloom some of our kid a astray and i dont think any law of minister can do anything for them..Yea u may update the police equiptment and the government can implement as many laws as they can but unless the mothers and fathers educate their kid is all ways i dont think any minister can do anything…Maybe what we should be asking for is for those incharge to try and curb the amount of guns coming into the country. Growing up in a village in dominica only the old men who hunt had guns and kids back then were not even interested in guns but now our borders a open to all and all kinds and that where i think we have the problem. When these victims killed in other countries no body blamed the government but when they get killed in their own country we all try blaming out government. Why is that? Why when our kids get scholarships and become lawyers and doctors etc we dont give the credit to the government and ministers? Why is it only when they commit crimes that we blame them? Please no matter how many laws is now put into place these bad eggs will still be bad cause they are already bad. What we as a community need to do now is to educate the younger ones and begining with the parents…..

I believe that “concerned youth” meant to say: “demons of violence”. And I would hope that we could learn to write the name, in reference to our creator, with a capital with a capital “G” “God” which is one other attitude of reverence pointing to His nature of Holiness, Love. and Truth. There are all sorts of “gods” in this world which are the complete opposite of Holiness, Love, and Truth

Nonetheless, concerned youth, you have a great point.

LET THE MAN WITH NO SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE….Ppl ppl ppl we are living in the last days cause we are only on borrowed time in this world.I knew this guys from the time they were babies,we are not related but i can say i never had a problem with anyone of them.everybody have their people ok.i know they did alot in stt cause am living there and i know what happen in d/ca too.am not going to judge them am leaving this up to god,we can’t play god but i see that what some of u doing.god is god and he do not want to be played for a fool, but i see that what u are doing.let us leave others people business alone .you know what i can’t understand dominican i just can’t seen to get the point on DNO at all ,some ppl for u and some will be against u no matter what u do in life.they leave sarah lynn agustine after they post all kinds of comments about how she kill the kids but their were not there when it happen, now them take joe and swat.who next ppl.when i read some of the comments on there i wonder if they know what the hell they talking about.i know they have to pay for what they did to others but why can’t we leave it up to god.he forgive but u don’t.i know it is hard to forgive a man who kill ur family but do u think god will forgive u if u don’t.i hate what they did to the other ppl.let god be the judge of their lives.we are in no place to tell who going to heaven or hell.pll want to talk about swat kids, i know the kids are innocent but omg he did not rape the mothers.if u know a man got so many kids and he don’t support them why are u going to get a child by him too then ppl can post on DNO how he don’t take care of his kids. they all know that.why when ppl died u hearring all kind of tings about how good or bad they were.that is the reason why u should be given invitation to view the body.

give jack his jacket and jacklyn her lipstick, DEAD OR ALIVE.

that’s one of the problem happening on Dominica today. everyone wants to turn a blind eye to the people who doing bad things and when they die or get killed want to say nice things about them.

if a mad was good on earth then the earth will have good to say about him, but if a man was bad you want the earth to stay quiet ??

buildings fall, hurricanes devastate and lightening destroys but the earth keeps turning so no matter what happens the truth is the truth and will always leave an effect on those that try to conceal it.

oh, and by the way, the bible teaches us what God expects of us and that’s the measure that a man can be judged by.

Signs of the times to come. In the days of de Kay-Passa (mid 60s), life was good; every man respected de old and showed much love. We are in the mid’ of a self-destructive revolution that de drug-man is King. He represents the wishes and aspirations of many who emulates the life style and give support within. Leaders are creating an environment — it’s all good to do wrong with impunity. Sorry if I think that the lives of the young men were conducive to the current envoronment the country is now experiencing. Vigilantism is now the order and policy of the criminals who run things from top to bottom. I say fire will burn all who think that they alone can throw fire.

well i must say it is sad that everything for dominicans is a labor /workers thing.. i hope for 2011 we will realize that as a country, we are all to be blamed.. when we see fights going on, instead of throwning on it and treating all involved like the animals that they are acting like,we run and see who is fighting like is a good thing that going on and not an unfortunate situation. we hearing people cursing/swearing,making threats and we just look on with our mouths shut…you know , WE ARE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY and when you and i see younger people /even older folk acting uncivilized we are to speak out against it..peacefully,but strongly and boldly speak against violence /verbal abuse/ misconduct. dont go running to see a bef and story. i urge you as an individual to take up the song ‘save a life’ for your motto in 2011. the ball is in YOUR court..

The condition of one’s heart will determine his/her destination when they depart this earth. Too many people seem to know everyone’s desitination when they die as if they sell them the ticket to heaven or hell. My friends, only God knows the condition of the heart when one dies. IF YOU DIE WITHOUT FORGIVENESS OF SINS you will not make it to heaven in the presence of God. No ONE KNOWS one’s last moment before death. It could well be that these guys made their peace with God with their last breath. So stop playing judge. I am not condoning the life that they lived. There is a spiritual influence over the lives of people who live like this. A spirit of murder, spirit of drugs, spirit of sexual immorality. Every evil act has a spiritual force behind it and that is where CHRISTIANS come in. Instead of looking down at the persons target the spirits that control them – they need deliverance so let the heart of compassion be in you that was in Christ and help these people.

Right now there is a spirit of murder sweeping around dominica and Christians need to put on the whole armour of God, take their positions and prepare for this spiritual battle instead of sitting around and yapping in vain. THIS IS A SPIRITUAL THING CHRISITIANS – SHAKE UP AND WAKE UP AND FIGHT. GIVE DOMINICA BACK TO GOD AND STOP WAITING FOR SKERRIT TO FIGHT THAT BATTLE FOR YOU. YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, JESUS GAVE YOU THE AUTHORITY – RISE UP AND STOP MINGLING WITH POLITICS! Appostles, pastors, evangelists, teachers, prophets put down your titles and take up your responsibilities – not by might not by power but by the spirit of GOD. RISE UP IN PRAYER and put all spiritual forces under subjection. Stop playing church in D’ca.

    December 26, 2010

We show our true colours by the comments we post here. Take a look at these:

@ sout man: ” good riddance to these two and there is more to get rid off.”
This is a declaration of war !!

@ Jayne: “To their mom, let’s see you hide their souls now”
Oh, how cold; coming from another mother !!

@ Boycott Brisbane: “…well if you want those boys in Heaven, I for one don’t want to go there.”
Be careful what you ask for , my friend. You may just get your wish. First of all, your statement is somewhat blasphemous. God does not rank sinners by the number and type of sin (except for blasphemy) that they committed. God deals with sinners in a just and impartial way. All those who are forgiven will have the same fate. Those who are not forgiven will all suffer the same consequences.

When evil things happen, it brings out the worst in us. Irrespective of who these guys were, we must be sensitive and show that we are above the back-biting, gutter politics and unforgiving hearts

Dominicans we need to STOP all these ignorant comments and work together to build up our country. At this point criticizing and playing politics will not do anything for the nation and our beloved family who resides there.

How many of you said a prayer for all those victims and their families, the criminals AND the direction in which the nation is going? Let the change we want to see begin with us and cutting out all the negative comments on DNO is a start. Let’s us all set this as a goal for ourselves for the NEw Year.

There can never be law in a country when the one who is running that same country breaking the law. So everyone will feel that if the pm can do it so can I. Their family should be happy they got some extra days to spend six dem, cuz if they were still in d vi, they woulda been dead long time. He went from away to Target.

Only Idiots come on here and say its the PM fault or Labour Fault.

Everything that goes bad in Dominica, its the PM fault, as if these guys asked fro help from him and they did not receive it.

Parents have a Responsibility to their children and community to educate them about the dangers and why doing the right thing should always be the choice.

It starts with the Parents and ends with them

Some of you say, well there is nothing for the youth to do…..OK fair point, but does it mean they should go out and commit crimes?

No…they are not starving, it is not a war zone. A person raised properly would find something more constructive to do with their time.

I do not know these guys, but from some who claim to know them, it appears they were troubled fellows.

I am not without fault but I do not get into trouble, I do not fight, I do not sell drugs, I do not rob/steal or go out harassing people and becoming a public nuisance.

Yes, I own a gun and I will use it to protect myself if I need to, but I am sure that I can attempt a resolution to a problem without firing a shot.

I have never had any reason to use it and hope I never have to, but it is there if I need to I am prepared to do what is needed.

Not everything has to be political……sometimes parents are enablers by not being serious from the time the kids are young and instilling good values in them which will aid them later in life.

A voice of reason and common sense among many.

But you do not need a gun if you live the right life.

Dominica is not about killed or be killed. It is not a war zone as you said. The youth can find something to do. I agree with the things you said…. it’s all about family. My cousins and i grew up the same way, yet, I chose to choose the way of the law and they went against it. And parenting has a lot to do with it because there came a time when our grandparents (raised by them), gave up on the ones who chose the bad path. Why, because, they did not listen – and i did. So here I am today – in a different country, successful and doing a job i love, when my cousins are in Dominica – selling drugs, refusing to work (and don’t give me that crap about there not being work)..they won’t even go to the garden and plant food for my grandmother to sell. Instead, they sit everyday outside the house and SMOKE!

And it is not about the government!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Blame Game Goes On !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometime in December 2009, a young man named Skerrit changed the world since he became Prime Minister, here are some of the things it is alleged he has done to Dominica and the world and he is still planning some evil things for 2011.

He won 81-3 election. It is said he caused a young lady in Mahaut to kill her two kids. It is said he caused several young (school girls) to have sex and got pregnant without the knowledge of their parents. It is said he caused the Virgin Islands to record 68 murders in 2010, 58 in 2009,

It is said he caused Lawyer Emanuel’s house to be gutter. It is said he caused President Obama to negotiate with Republicans. It is said he caused a female bomber to kill 50 people while awaiting food aid in Pakistan on Christmas Day, oh, how he hates poor kids.It is said he paid an al Qaeda terrorist to bomb innocent kids on Christmas Day in Iraq, and now, It is said he caused the death of two young men in Grand Bay.

And guess what, it is said alleged he is planning to have a band of frigid weather snaking up the East Coast threatens to bring 11 to 16 inches of snow to New York City and 15 to 20 inches to New England, while slick roads in the South cause cars to flip amidst emergency storm declarations. Skerrit hates poor people who have no place to sleep, and are left in the cold.

Oh! How much more can we blame on this Skerrit guy for?

Can we not find anything to blame on ourselves, shall we not look at ourselves in the mirror and blame some things on us. Michael Jackson said the man in the mirror must change his ways, and

He has caused the Pope to talk about condom, and it is said he is now asking the Pope to zip up and wear his pants back to front and use a condom, since the Pope has claimed that he is the father of millions, so that the Pope can stop being a father.

Happy Holidays guys! Please don’t kill me for this observation.

i am a dominican and had been away for three years. when i came back i was invited to grandbay by a freind and it was my first time going to that village. WHAT I WITNESSED TERRIFIED ME. i went with my freinds to this famous night club in grandbay and a fight broke out amoung young women. apart from the bottle throwing, cursing, i saw teenage boys with guns, children on the block smoking weed. respectable persons in the community risking there lives to part the fight and bottles are thrown at them. i vowed personally not to ever set foot in grandbay again and not even to have freinds from grandbay. of all the stories i heard about grandbay in the past, i have witnessed for myself and in my mind grandbay stands as the crime capital of dominica. thats what the culture of lawlessness does to a community.

    Prayer for the Nation

Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

      2 You who hate good and love evil:;who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;

They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

i must mention the reason why there is so much violence in grand bay is because the youth of today has no one to look up to. there’s no mentors left. There is no one in the village who is willing to call your parents when they see you doing something wrong those days are gone .Parents are scared of the own kids .If your government is breaking all the rules in the country and the people are allowing it to continue. We need to take a stand and impeach your prime minister. Stop pretenting that everything is ok ,its like being in a bad marriage, you a stay because of the kids.Stop blaming our kids other people kids its not there fault its soceity’s fault.Prayer alone wont work everyboby at home and aboard has to come together and fight in what we believe in to help the youth and our country. So i wish everyone a more productive 2011 and hoping for no more violence. peace from atl.

Partially true, but prayer is where it starts..God will put in our hearts what we need to do but we must first ask for it..We have not because we ask not..We can’t always take matters into our own hands or more people would be dead..We must consult with God first..When in a bad marriage sometimes you have to let go and let God..So anyway you try and put it is God we need to put first and the only way to reach him is on your knees through PRAYER!!!!!

When they were alive people were complaining that they are bad, now that they are dead the same people are saying that they did not have to die that way. I wonder why? what u wanted the killer to do .Put a sponge around the bullets? If am wrong please forgive me but for what i know i think that these guys are better off dead. I also think that the killer needs to be put to death in a civilized manner.

Thats a shame and that’s evil! Anyways, I hope that the Dominicans that really care about Dominica would wish the best for their country regardless if they dont like the government. In the end, it might be your family that’s hurt when you wish such evil things. When it’s all said and done, we are all affected by these crimes.

When it’s bad you have to say it is bad. The PM needs to set the example, and stop telling people “go to HELL, it’s not their damn business.” He needs to stop those things he doing, “no constitution can stop him” was his words.

When you do those things what do you expect, people will follow your lead. So he’s as much to blame, see what happen yesterday in Goodwill.

    December 26, 2010

Happy Holidays to everyone! It’s amazing how many comments were posted for this story that got our attention. I know both young men growing up in GrandBay. They were the sweetest boys. As other young men in the entire world they made some poor decisions well known to us, still bringing disgust to some of us even after their deaths. Let’s not rejoice on their tradegies. Let’s not mock a mother’s loss. Let’s not cremate a child’s loss. We all have children growing up, whether they are our sons, daughters, cousins, friends, or so on. Let us stop pointing the finger at each other, or at the government, or at irrational, or illogical causes. Let’s stop making excuses for our behavior. Each of you who have posted has made some poor decision or some sort at least once in your life. Learn from this tradegy. Look into your own life. Clean your own closet beginning this day. End this year more righteous and by doing this we all, on an individual basis will contribute to a more peaceful, and harmonious society. May God be with all you and may God continue to bless all of us with his most outpouring of blessings. I love you all.

what about christmas day? Do you really know what the celebration is all about? whoever u are it has nothing to do with the birth of christ but pure witchcraft.
Christmas is a holiday shared and celebrated by many religions.
It is a day that has an effect on the entire world.
To many people, it is a favorite time of the year involving gift giving, parties and feasting. Christmas is a holiday that unifies almost all of professing Christendom.
The spirit of Christmas causes people to decorate their homes and churches, cut down trees and bring them into their homes, decking them with silver and gold.
In the light of that tree, families make merry and give gifts one to another.
When the sun goes down on December 24th, and darkness covers the land, families and churches prepare for participation in customs such as burning the yule log, singing around the decorated tree, kissing under the mistletoe and holly, and attending a late night service or midnight mass.
What is the meaning of Christmas? Where did the customs and traditions originate?
You, as a Christian, would want to worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth, discerning good from evil.
The truth is that all of the customs of Christmas pre-date the birth of Jesus Christ, and a study of this would reveal that
Christmas in our day is a collection of traditions and practices taken from many cultures and nations.
The date of December 25th comes from Rome and was a celebration of the Italic god, Saturn, and the rebirth of the sun god.
This was done long before the birth of Jesus.
It was noted by the pre-Christian Romans and other pagans, that daylight began to increase after December 22nd, when they assumed that the sun god died.
These ancients believed that the sun god rose from the dead three days later as the new-born and venerable sun.
Thus, they figured that to be the reason for increasing daylight.
This was a cause for much wild excitement and celebration. Gift giving and merriment filled the temples of ancient Rome, as sacred priests of Saturn, called dendrophori, carried wreaths of evergreen boughs in procession.
In Germany, the evergreen tree was used in worship and celebration of the yule god, also in observance of the resurrected sun god.
The evergreen tree was a symbol of the essence of life and was regarded as a phallic symbol in fertility worship.
Witches and other pagans regarded the red holly as a symbol of the menstrual blood of the queen of heaven, also known as Diana.
The holly wood was used by witches to make wands.
The white berries of mistletoe were believed by pagans to represent droplets of the semen of the sun god.
Both holly and mistletoe were hung in doorways of temples and homes to invoke powers of fertility in those who stood beneath and kissed, causing the spirits of the god and goddess to enter them.
These customs transcended the borders of Rome and Germany to the far reaches of the known world.
The question now arises: How did all of these customs find their way into contemporary Christianity, ranging from Catholicism to Protestantism to fundamentalist churches?
The word “Christmas”itself reveals who married paganism to Christianity.
The word “Christmas” is a combination of the words “Christ” and “Mass.
The word “Mass” means death and was coined originally by the Roman Catholic Church, and belongs exclusively to the church of Rome.
The ritual of the Mass involves the death of Christ, and the distribution of the “Host”, a word taken from the Latin word “hostiall” meaning victim!
In short, Christmas is strictly a Roman Catholic word.
A simple study of the tactics of the Romish Church reveals that in every case, the church absorbed the customs, traditions and general paganism of every tribe, culture and nation in their efforts to increase the number of people under their control.
In short, the Romish church told all of these pagan cultures, “Bring your gods, goddesses, rituals and rites, and we will assign Christian sounding titles and names to them.
When Martin Luther started the reformation on October 31st, 1517, and other reformers followed his lead, all of them took with them the paganism that was so firmly imbedded in Rome.
      These reformers left Christmas intact.
In England, as the authorized Bible became available to the common people by the decree of King James the II in 1611, people began to discover the pagan roots of Christmas, which are clearly revealed in Scripture.
The Puritans in England, and later in Massachusetts Colony, outlawed this holiday as witchcraft.
Near the end of the nineteenth century, when other Bible versions began to appear, there was a revival of the celebration of Christmas.
We are now seeing ever-increasing celebrating of Christmas or Yule, its true name, as we draw closer to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In both witchcraft circles and contemporary Christian churches, the same things are going on.
As the Bible clearly states in Jeremiah 10:2-4, “Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen; and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven. For the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain. For one cutteth a tree out of the forest. The work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.”
So, what is wrong with Christmas?
      1. To say that Jesus was born on December 25th is a lie! The true date is sometime in September according to the Scriptures.
      2. Trees, wreaths, holly, mistletoe and the like are strictly forbidden as pagan and heathen! To say that these are Christian or that they can be made Christian is a lie!
      3. The Lord never spoke of commemorating his birth but rather commanded us to remember the sacrifice of His suffering and death, which purchased our salvation.
Think about it! Can we worship and honor God by involving ourselves with customs and traditions, which God Himself forbade as idolatry? Can we convince God to somehow “Christianize” these customs and the whole pretense and lie of Christmas, so we can enjoy ourselves? Can we obey through disobedience?
So what is right about Christmas? 1. Nothing!

“The Roman festival of Saturnalia, Dec. 17-24, moved citizens to decorate their homes with greens and lights and give gifts to children and the poor. The Dec. 25 festival of natalis solis invicti, the birth of the unconquered sun, was decreed by the emperor Aurelian in A.D. 274 as a Winter Solstice celebration, and sometime (later)…was Christianized as a date to celebrate the birth of the Son of Light.”
December 25th was not selected because it was the birth of Christ or because it was even near it. It was selected because it coincided with the idolatrous pagan festival Saturnalia.

I say Amen to that Blah.. Well said… Dominicans have to pray for Dominica or it will be doomed to eternal damnation. We need a great shower of blessing to wash away the curse that we have placed on our country. We all need to take the blame for the way our children are raised. We support their behaviour because we all believe that we benefit (consciously or unconsciously) from their ill will and malicious intentions. Something has to be done and we are the ones who have to do it. Even if they are our children, we need to do what ever it takes to set them right and keep our nature island paradise afloat.

Some of you need to get out more and come out your little boxes. Why does everything have to be about politics? Are you guys obsessed with the PM? Going on and on about the government will not solve anything. Crime is everywhere! And yes, it’s shocking when it happens in Dominica especially when it’s so much, but some of you need to come out your holes you are in. I think the USVI had about 40 something murders for the year. Even in St. Thomas that’s much smaller than Dominica the crime rate is much higher. Those of you who are saying Dominica was sold to the devil, you need to get out more. Seriously!

    DNO,

You seem to have forgotten the male from Portsmouth (the Andrew felah) who was found murdered in the burial ground on the morning of November 14th of this year. So it brings to 14, the amount of persons who would have been murdered in the country to date, as though detected this year, the young man from Barbados would have died last year.

    ADMIN
That incident was not classified as a murder.

13 murders in the year so far out of a total population of 69000. That makes it approximately 19 per 100000 which is how the murder rate of a country is calculated. Trinidad had about 460 murders in 2010 so far; with a population of 1.3 million that makes it about 35 murders per hundred thousand.

So in 2010 Dominica’s murder rate is more than half of the murder rate in Trinidad.

Right there in Grandbay we have Dominica’s best muscian and band Chubby and midnight groovers .And what makes him the best is his perpetual call for PEACE AND UNITY among Dominicans and man in general..oh how i wish we all would meditate on the lyrics of those songs..especially the young men who pick up the knife, cutlass and guns instead of the guitar, keyboard and drumset.those illegal guns on the street…we need to get them out the street.we need to send a strong message to the illegal gun slingers out there..a positive one at that too..not messages like,”No law..no police,no magistrate..not even the constitution can…”messages…those irresponsible and egotistic messages dont help one bit ..then again it only helps in the furtherance of more crimes…like we have on our hands now.

For all you young men who playing gangster, you see how both of them got shot and all their soldiers who were right there run for cover? Take example from this case! They were all there with them having a good time, but by the time the second was fired they were running in peoples back yard to hide, and left their leaders to die.

Well Well. Crime must continue because some of us as leaders in soceity are too sympathetic to crimminals and to quick to blame law enforcement for soceity ills. When u had police officers in Granbay enforcing law and order the so called leaders of the community was complaining so they take them out and send a new set of JOKERS so things like that must happen and must continue. They burst gunshots all thru the night as if to say what, We bad, we sad, or we glad. When the leaders in that community put their foot down againts crime and crimminal activity I believe Grandbay will looked at as a place with positive people by everyone because some people anytime you mention grandbay they scared. To the so called leaders in the Grandbay community my advice to you all if you so love Granbay and Grandbarians, Stop tolerating crime and criminals for all you selfish Political and financial gain.

 nobody no matter how good or bad deserves 2 be killed. god is the great avenger. Becuase some is/was a bad boy doesnt give any one right to remove them from society! wht does that make the person. they are not any better. JAYNE you must be god then because i have never seen god come on earth kill anyone. people need to stop supporting crime in the name of god paying back. god never told anyone that he would allow perpetual killing as vengeance. he has everyone repayment for them at the end of their life.yes JAHLO why didnt you do it yourself. its thats constant cycle of anger and hatred that has the country the way it is.
why dno does allow ignorance here? it really tells me wht the average persone in dominica is like!!!! everytime some thing happens the comment like they came from a garbage dump. then again a cat can only think like a cat no matter wht right so these sh… a…s cant think any differently! go educate yourselves dumnincan plz. that will improve the socail life of the country. you all are making life miserable for other people with whats spewing from your mouths. there are things that doctors cant diagnose but let the biggest gossiper know you are sick and they will tell you exactly what diesease you are suffereing from. dominica is the only country where almost 89% of the citizen has Doctorate degree from “blajay” university. at this school you can specialize in GOSSIP, lying, carniving, hatred, jealousy, scandal and all other abomination that will enable a grduate to spoil the life of another person.
Crime has nothing to do with inadequacies in the police force. Crime is necessary for a police force. to stay in place. very necessary.

i am not dissing them i am saying it just as it is!!!! u must be as shallow as they are not to realize that all the the way they speak towards and about each other are very oppressive and hurtful. do you ever hear dumbinican emphasizing on the good that people do. go to a village and ask 10 people about 1 person and most likely you will get 10 negative responses. why are they portraying the person like that as if they have never done any good.

dominicans endorsed crime and criminal behavour only when we place a corrupt government in power.. so we as a nation has brought the devil into our soceity, because crime and corruption is not of god.
now go ahead and critize my comments but it is the truth… if we live in the light then the road will be lighted for us… if we live in darkness we will receive the rewards of darkness….

this is not political…. its just the trends i see.

lord place your light in or minds and heart and give us the opportunity to be forgiving and meek. we know that we have strayed from the flock so light our path so we could find our way..
forgive us for the wrong we have done and pour your grace on us..

no matter what these guys did,now they are DEAD and another killer is running loose.we did not turn they in even though some of us knew they were killers (or so the talk goes)
we are saying they got what they deserve.
but what about the guy who pulled the trigger yesterday?are we gonna let him hide when some of us know who he is?he is a murderer,or are we gonna wait for the right time to exact revenge and thereby have another murder on uor hands.

see the trend my ppl.we r the ones who can do our part to help our nation grow.

We are asking Dominicans to come back home to develop their country but instead of dat we have criminals coming back home whether of their free will or otherwise, causing crime to be on the rise as bad as it already is. We must realize dat we are living in the end times; men will be lovers of themselves, boasters, proud, truce breakers, without natural affection, disobedient to parent, unthankful, unholy. Do we only pray with our lips and our hearts are far away from God, or is it only when somethng terrible happen that we call on God. Prayer should be an every day event and should be done in sincerity and truth. God has dominica in his hands and no man can sell Dominica.

You cannot expect that by you doing bad things only good will come from it. They killed in St Thomas, their own Grandbarian people, and then run from st thomas right back to Dominca where those people family are. Really, You expect to just come back to Grand Bay and nothing happen. Well it is time to wake up. Live your life right and all these posts will not be nesessary. Peace!!!

That is very sweet – Although I didn’t know them I too hope that God did forgive them and allow them in heaven. It is not HIs will that anyone perishes. While some may point fingers at them or even gloat at their deaths because of how they lived, God does not categorize sin. A liar and murder are both sinners in God’s eyes. But He is a very loving God and He is always ready to forgive all those who call upon Him and I hope that was the case with them two. That is very compassionate of you to think that way.
      God bless you

My friend, it is true that one who died in SIN (all sins including the little lies that people tell that seems like nothing to even christians) will not go through heavens gate but Got will neither open His gates to those who play judge. You don’t know what these guys last moment was with the forgiving God we serve. You were not born saved so stop behaving as if Jesus had to shed more blood for that one than he did for you. You do not know if this guy asked and received forgiveness with his last breath. I tell you, those of the household of faith here on earth will get their biggest surprise in heaven. Those who you think might have made it in may never make it through the gates of heaven and that is the problem with you people. You ALL tend to know who made it to heaven and who didn’t.

Many people made their peace with God right on their death bed. This one guy who got shot a few minutes before he died right on the street repented of his sins and asked God to forgive him – he died a minute later. They may have lived a life as killers, fornicators etc. but they might have made it to heaven forgiven. WHAT A GREAT AN FORGIVING GOD WE SERVE.

I am in no way advocating what they did, but we are never to play judge when people die. We don’t know the condition of their hearts when they leave this earth, only Christ does. So just hope for them what you hope for your love ones.

 …i never said he went hell or heaven! that’s not my place to say….i simple said what the bible said. Ok…i know God is merciful to forgive even at the last moment ,…. but it’s time that people give their lives to Christ while they are able for God to use them…

And people like to say what if what if what if….Asking God forgiveness isn’t all…because you can not come to God without accepting his son Jesus christ as lord and saviour…I hope he did that.

But also you have to realize people go to hell…that’s what hell was made for….maybe the first thing you should have commented on is A.G comment!!!

          How to know God personally….

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you?

You may be surprised that none of those things will work. But God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him.

The following principles will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now, through Jesus Christ…

          Principle 1:
God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

          God’s Love
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” 1

          God’s Plan
[Christ speaking] “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” [that it might be full and meaningful]. 2
Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life? Because…

          Principle 2:
All of us sin and our sin has separated us from God.

          We Are Sinful
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” 3

We were created to have fellowship with God; but, because of our stubborn self-will, we chose to go our own independent way, and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

          We Are Separated
“The wages of sin is death” [spiritual separation from God]. 4

This diagram illustrates that God is holy and people are sinful. A great gulf separates us. The arrows illustrate that we are continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through our own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion — but we inevitably fail.

          Principle 3:
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through Him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our life.

          He Died in Our Place
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” 5

          He Rose From the Dead
“Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures…He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred…” 6

He Is the Only Way to God
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'” 7

This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is not enough just to know these three principles…

          Principle 4:
We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.

          We Must Receive Christ
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” 8

          We Receive Christ Through Faith
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” 9

When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth

We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
[Christ speaking] “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” 10

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.

I AM NOT BEING JUDGE BECAUSE I HAVE MY OWN ISSUES TO WORRY ABOUT…SO WHILE U MIGHT THINK AM JUDGING….I TOO HAVE GO TO GOD EVERYDAY TO REPENT..BECAUSE AS A CHRISTIAN I KNOW A SIMPLE THING AS A”WHITE LIE” IS A SIN..

What happened does not look at all. It does not look good for Grand Bay and it does not look good especially for Dominica….but don’t start with this “grand bay people” talk. Not all people from grand bay are bad. When the crimes were happening in other places it was never said that their entire village were bad. Why does it have to be now that the crime happened in Grand Bay people are saying “Grand Bay people, Grand Bay people”

Righteousness exalueth a nation, but sin is a reproach. The head is rotten and so is the body. Have we in Dominica sold our souls to the devil? Yeah! Yeah yeah! Crime is everywhere, especially in America, but Dominicans.. 13 murders in one year out of 70,000 people, and this has been the pattern for some time? This Christmas all you celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with blood and fire…I used to hear people like Parry Bellot say so many things about people in the Middle East, how they violent blah, blah blah, it seems they are getting some cpmpetition from Dominica, considering the population ratio.. Skerritt called Jerry Brisbane Terrorist for writing to Aid donors and telling them to watch where there money going.. Some person or persons went and fire bombed a citizens houes, I have not heard Skerrit, I am looking forward with hieightened anticipation to hear what he is going to say, beause if there was ever a terrorist act in Dominica, this is it!!! Where does Skerrit stand on this kind of terrorism???

Sir apparently you didn’t understand a word I said! I am not calling on Skerrit, I am telling Dominicans that sine is a reproach so they must check themselves and their leaders and as the leader of the country, Skerrit has to condem wrong doings, but he is very selective in doing that… Apparently the 18-3 of the peaople ADORE him, so he should come out and speak to them about the real evils that are taking place in Dominica., andf since they adore him and believe in him so much, just maybe they will lsiten to him and stop kiiling one another.. I totally agree with you, people should not put their faith in any man let alone Skerrit, but this seems to be what is happening in Dominica, and they are following his lead to!

Well said my Brother or Sister…..Once the head is rotten the entire body is rotten…these are dark days for Dominica. There are corrupt acts taking place on a daily basis from the top to the bottom and on both sides…..Dominica has become the corruption and drug Capital of the World….These two events have take place in a time of peace and goodwill to men…Christmas. Where are we going…is this the next level we were promised….well, well, well what a level….You mentioned 70,000 people….I do not believe we have that population…it is more like 55 – 60,000….people leaving here everyday…..and interesting you mentioned Parry….its he and the other former Freedomites that hijacked the people’s Labour Party that responsible for that….when they are removed the people of Dominica must linch them….Labourites remember in the 70s and 80s Savarin called on Dominicans to look for every Labourites in every nock and cranny of Dominica, in every hole and under every stone and deal with them….well we must like for all those former Freedomites Savarin first from every nock and cranny and deal with them.

Only God can judge us but we have got to stop being hyprocratics. Those of us who know those young men know damn well they grew up to be cheap imitation gangstars. They were very violent and I have to put some of the blame on their families for always lying and covering up for them. After Isola did what he did in St.Thomas and ran to dominica we knew it was a matter of time before someone happen like that happened because the friends of the trail of victims they left behind vowed to sick justice one way or another. Two wrong don’t make it right but we all new they would have died the same way they lived. I too am raising two boys and I pray every chance I get for me to raise them as Christians and I pray for all parents to do the best we can for our kids. I tell my boys every day I’ll kill them my damn self and go to jail if they think they’re going to grow up to be law-breaking citizens…I work too damn hard for this. I’ve prayed for these your men as I pray for all young men who want to live by the guns. Violence is not the answer and yes these young man were humans two and I pray they find peace but let’s not close our eyes to the truth. I pray for the kids they are leaving behind and I hope they don’t follow in their fathers foot steps. To their mom…let’s see you hide their souls now.

We all have our faults but this young man was trouble and instead for his family to turn him in to face Justice for his crimes they send him to Dominica and see what happen…he went back to his old ways. Young people please turn to God not Gun. I pray to God the family of the shooter won’t hide him too.

      my thoughts exactly

guess is four more souls to make the eighteen or have we already arrived and have stopped counting. we need to pray for our country. This gun violence thing is a serious problem and the police needs to do some proper investiations. this is a tragedy.

OMG… My community Grand Bay, I am praying for you guys. The people in the community have been trying so hard to help remove this bad name which our community has had over the years. I am so saddened by this, this Christmas Day, this news was certainly not what I expected. This is such a sad thing, RIP ISOLAH. Hold on Josiah.

RIP to u Josiah u were the quiet one but as they say peter will pay for Paul. I pray that your killer will be brought to justice but as usual in Dominica it going to be a dead case. Evil will never cease if that is the way young men insist on settling their problems. this is something which has only just begun. more killings to come because revenge is around the corner. so many parents are left with the burden of burying the child. grand bay my town is slowly becoming a war zone. God I ask u to speak to the young men before they destroy each other. THE END IS NEAR!
