One man of Fond Cole is presently nursing injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) after being allegedly shot in the face by another individual of that same community with a flare gun.
The incident occurred about 7:00 pm on Thursday at Fond Cole, according to reports.
Dominica News Online understands that the victim is nursing burns to the right side of his face down to his lower lip.
He also sustained damage to his right eye.
DNO will follow that story and provide an official police report when it becomes available.

When children attain adulthood, they are responsible for themselves.
God will not ask the government about the children who go astray. He will ask the parents about it.
Parents are the ones whom God will hold accountable. If you are old enough to have children or have children, take note.
If you are thinking of yourself, know that the government was never responsible for you. Your parents are, if you are still a minor.
Every country is experiencing a certain amount of unemployment. The days when jobs were plentiful are long gone, never to re-surface.
This gives no one reasons to shoot, injure/maim and kill others. It also gives them no reason to idleness and to steal. No excuse whatsoever.
