Fond Cole man murdered in Guadeloupe

A 30-year-old Dominican has been shot to death in Guadeloupe.

Malcolm Shillingford, commonly referred to as Sadam of Fond Cole, was allegedly shot in the head over the weekend and left by the roadside in the French country.

His mother Helene Shillingford said she would continuously warn her son about his illegal rendezvous to Guadeloupe but he wouldn’t take heed.

“I used to warn my son about making these backdoor trips to Guadeloupe. I told him he could lose his life while he was on his way to Guadeloupe but you know children already… they doesn’t listen,” she said.

She said she is still unclear as to what exactly happened.

“I heard that he and a guy had a problem and the guys’ brother came and just shot him in his head. I also heard that he was left by the roadside and the only time he was identified was when someone from Dominica saw him lying there,” she said.

She says however it’s a sad time for the family and he will be missed.

Shillingford says that she will attempt to get assistance to bury her son in Dominica.

    he haa henn tada tantadeh….. Dont call me no dagg…… why you have to see your self the worst,…. neva see my pants below my waiste…….

    Who cyan hear will feel…. Mmama its too late to cry you should have insured your son when he failed to hear…. I have a jack*** that picking up the same style and i just afraid to insure him.

    i do belive that all parents should make a sacrifice and insure their hard headed children i see it happen all the time. A parent have to go through the pains of raising their children and still begging for help to bury them.. Its a shame

    We love our kids, we want the best for them, but when the magnet is stronger that us we need to go to alico or sagicor.

    i been speaking to that boy since he was a kid…… he always respected me for some reason or the other, i can remember when i went up to him and disarmed him and everyone was shocked that he did not cut me with his cutlass…

    Good soldier, wrong army…..

    what so glorious about a man involved in illegal activities and paying the ultimate price with his life? Even the man mother condemn his ways..youth man with talent and potential taking a road that ends so quickly. All those ”top shatter” ”gangster” ”solider” when u have children, what u teach them.. and indeed the gangster thing is a USA life style, picking up foolish habits that u all have no idea what they mean..using all kinda slangs, ur pants falling below ur knees, smoking, thats a life? i don’t do those things..no, because i see what it to do to my friends, make them poppers, begging for bread, always in jail,always wanted my the police..LIFE IS NOT A GAME! THEIR IS NO RESET BUTTON. ALL UR ENERGY TAKE IT TO MAKE DOMINICA A BETTER PLACE FOR US TO LIVE..A RESPECTED CARIBBEAN LAND, ALREADY WE OUR PEOPLE MAKING A SHAME ON US IN TERMS OF CRIME..WAKE UP WANNA BE.

    to the rest of the (so called Gangsters) in Fond Cole, u know your self, who have made a living going to Guadeloupe BACK DOOR… how many more must die b for u learn a lesson… those of us from fond cole will knw thats the 3 (third) one dead in less than a year. with bullet in their head…

    how do u tell them rest in peace, when there was not a single day of peace in their life… like the old sayin goes u live by the Gun u die by the Gun…

    sorry n sympathy for the mother yes… cause she could not think for him, but thats the life he chose so he had to pay the price… u reap wat u sow…

    and to those of all u chattin nonesense, n sickening me… there are a lot of young men in fond cole, and out of those we now have policemen, firemen, security officers etc….. these chose a lifestyle that sadam could also, but insted he chose the oppostie.. no need to rejoice in someones death but i cannot b saddned neither when kill ur own self….

    i hope the rest of u (FOND COLE) young men learn a lesson, crime does not pay, it only take u to the ground. and dont think i have a ting for fond cole cause i was born n raise there, and i would really like to see a positive change in my community even if i dont live there no more… thats still my home…

    @texas island boy:

    Here goes that term “soldier” again. You guys need to stop emulating the vernacular of the pseudo-American gangsters that you hear in music and see in videos. What was he a soldier of? Did he liberate a nation? Did he fight for a noble cause? Did he educate the poor? Did he fight for justice? Did he fight for equality? Did he feed the hungry? Did he cloth the needy? Did he provide shelter to someone when the rain cursed the earth? Did he die for a noble cause? Do not use the term soldier in this context. It is an insult to the true soldiers around the globe. It should not be used lightly. We live to die. Therefore, each one has a choice as to how he/she lives while we are here on earth. If you live in the shadows, you will surely die in the shadows. His choice of living has left a grieving mother behind…and that is the only sad part.

    REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THIS YOUNG MANS DEATH, IT IS STILL A VERY SAD SITUATION.
    THIS IS NOT A MATTER FOR ANYONE TO REJOICE OVER OR CELEBRATE! HE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN LIVING THE RIGHT WAY, BUT WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE?

    WE AS A PEOPLE SHOULD BE EMPATHETIC TOWARDS OTHERS! PUT YOURSELF IN SOMEONE ELSES SHOES…IT DOESN’T MATTER THE LIFE SOMEONE CHOOSES TO LIVE, NO ONE DESERVES TO DIE AT THE HAND OF ANOTHER.

    WITH THAT SAID,
    I EXTEND HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, ESPECIALLY HIS MOTHER! SHE IS THE ONE WHO HAS SUFFERED THE GREATEST LOST! MAY YOU FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT YOU WILL FIND JUSTICE FOR YOUR SON’S MURDER!

    Hello Young Men and all those who are condoning the wrong thing, Please wake from your slumber and choose the right path that is stop making the wrong choices and also making excuses to condone the things that are not Godly, REad the book of Proverbs –
    Children obey your parents that your life will be lengthened, The Creator has commanded this, Do not heed the Creator, This book has all the guidance for young persons, Fast Life fast death ,,

    I knew Sadaam and I feel for his Mum and she is like all the other mums of you young men especially are hurting them doing the illegal things, A lot of mums are hurting inside and grieving, young men stop the fast life and fast money and all the back door, Gaudeloupe is not better than our Nature Isle, We pray for all the young men of the land (nice, Handsome and whom we love and whom the Heavenly Father loves since he sent his only begotton Son to die on the cross to free us from the wiles of the enemy who ony came to steal, kill and destroy, The choice is yours – make the right one – seek ye first the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father and his rigteousness and ALL other things will be added unto you, Pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze Remember Mummy, Daddy. girlfriends (Girls don’t encourage them for the money (not hard earned) We love you ,,,,, yes we do another young man dead … My heart aches… Let us pray for our young men.. The enemy is out to kill and exterminate them, Readers also stop that hating and criicising,, They need prayers we do not know when we will fall in that trap ourselves as we have young men ourselves,,,

    Helene ,, My condolescence to you,, The father will see you thru, Let us continue to pray for our young men in the Prisons etc, Let us defeat the enemy with our prayers, Each one of us,, Stop the negative talking, the mepuis and let us hold hands and pray for our Nation and our young person esp our young men,

    An aching mum,

    I have been to the edge of the precipice jus like saddam and so many of my brothers on the
    Street, I wonder how many of u would choose different if u walked in saddam shoes, everybody
    Have to live according to their means, the man was living according to his. I knew saddam, personally, and jus like every human being he was not all bad. Maybe his life should serve as
    an oppotunity to acknowledge that WE have a problem with young men being able to earn a decent living, saddam problem is all of us Problem, and stop pretending that it is just his. Young men need a fair means to a fair end. What would u think if I told u that most fellas going gwada backdoor already make up their minds to die?? Because that is exactly the case, but who cares right? Live by the gun die by the gun right?? I hope the cliche will save ur son or brother who is just not finding a fair means to an end.

    @Street Soldier:

    Street soldier? Do you know the definition of a street soldier? A street soldier is one who fights on behalf of the downtrodden and the unfortunate. One who goes out there and try to better his/her life by pulling him/herself up by the bootstraps. Not one who operates in illegal shadows, and bring heartaches and misery to his family. A soldier fights for a greater good. Not operate on selfish gains and motives. You wanna be gangstars make me laugh. You guys are looking at too much rap videos on BET. I feel really bad for the mother. If you operate in the illegal zone, chances are, you will surely get scorched by it.
