Two adult males of Fond Cole have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after being caught in the building housing the Miniyas 7-11 Supermarket at Canefield.
Police Public Relations Officer(PRO), Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste said at about 3:20am on Monday, 29th August, 2016 the staff of the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a call and on their arrival at the location the two suspects were met exiting the building.
“They were both taken into custody,” he said.
Meantime, one adult male of River Street in Roseau has been arrested on suspicion of obtaining property by deception.
Jno Baptiste said it is alleged that between the 16th and 19th of August 2016, one female adult of Fortune was deceived into paying EC$4,500 as deposit for a parcel of land at Union Estate in Pointe Michel.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.

Pertaining to the lady who was deceived in paying $4,500 as deposit for a parcel of land, beware. Prior to depositing such an amount of money, you must first obtain all particulars of the land and ownership. Deceivers are everywhere. They appear friendly and honest. I recognize this could happen to anyone. I hope you will get back all your money. Meanwhile, the deceiver has to face the Court for deception which is a crime.
I am pleased they were caught. There must have been a security alarm system in the store. This will help to catch them on the spot.

Pray, oh it just keep happening all over the World, We cannot Relent, we cannot surender! Law and order must be Maintained. Smoke them from their hole, by air, by sea, and on the ground. not unique, to our small island States, but never an excuse to give in!
