Four arrested for violating curfew

Police on patrol as Beryl neared Dominica over the weekend

Four persons were arrested after violating the curfew which was imposed by the Government on Sunday ahead of the expected arrival of Tropical Storm Beryl.

This is according to Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Simon Edwards.

The curfew and state of emergency were to be in effect from 4:00 pm on Sunday, 8th July to 4:00 pm on Monday.

However,  the measures were lifted at 6:00 am on Monday 9th July after Tropical Storm Beryl had weakened.

Edwards said the four arrested were all male and three of them will be charged for curfew violation.

You know what all of you talking rubbish about me are nothing more than a bunch of lowlife primitive savages, trying  to bring me down to you all level is not going to change my status in life!

Not one of you running off your mouth knows me in person, because if you did would have to be the worst of lairs to say the things you say about me.

To the fool who talk about Medicare, if I use medicare to pay for my medical treatment, I am entailed, to it; it is not welfare, because I pay into the system.

I worked paid into the system for more than ten years.

There are US. Senators utilizing the same system to pay for their medical treatment, so why not me if I chose too? All the big mouth you nasty bits of slime ball has, I challenge any of you to state (write) your name and surname on DNO as I have!

You can’t because you all are nobody!

I am reading some comments here about Mr. Francisco Telemaque, and have to wonder if the people who are castigating that man knows him.

I met Francisco more than fifteen years ago while working with a medical doctor who treated him;  I am a nurse, one day my car broke down, I ask him to give me a ride to work; he was busy, he told me to chose anyone of his cars, and drive myself to work. The doctor saw me driving his car and ask why?

The next thing she did was fire me because she said it was unethical to associate with her patient. I was hurting to pay my rent. Francisco told me to consider my firing split milk, he will take care of me. A week later he invited me to travel whit him to Canada; and ensure he maintain his medical regiment. I been with him since he became my source of income since.

He is everything he said he is and much more!

Which part of Dominica the curfew was violated, it is wise for us to know because if I have to based on the image shown I will say all the violators were in Roseau, so we want to know, and if yes that mean Dominicans are taking orders correctly or only officers stationed in Roseau were doing their job. Dominica is so wide and if only 4 violators I believe they speak Latin and understand Dutch. Just reprimand them.

Break the rules pay the price. Good to see lessons learned from Maria were implementing. Hopefully we do have to go through this process for years to come.

More of the Majoring in the Minor things in a country that needs attention in so many areas of priority. The gov’t continues to show unnecessary force against citizens. To what end is Dominica quickly becoming a fearful place to walk peacefully, congregate, or simply communicate..
If this isn’t reminiscent of a Police state idk what is..

Easy, just look up the comments you made as soon as DNO got back online, re: the post-Maria looting and lack of police presence. Careful. may just eat your vomit. :-x

You arrested four for violating a curfew, but those who commit cold-blooded murder, walk free. Welcome to the next level my people.

And in this picture are a model of homes; and a street which the rest of the Caribbean will copy, and use to develop their country, according to Roosevelt Skerrit!

What beauty these homes are in the twenty-first century!

    • Real truth
      July 10, 2018

Yes Francisco, Blame SKerrit for everything in Dominica. While those related to you are shooting people to death in this country you are silent on that. You family has serious issues. Recently one of your relative was sent on behavior management in Antigua, you month was short. Look like you yourself need some serious anger management in late 70s. Francisco you are useless. Dominica don’t need boys like you. Stay where you are and pay you pass due IRS payments.

      • Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque
        July 10, 2018

You know, Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque has never harmed a fly in my entire life: Last month I came close to shooting a guy who left the street and went into one of my apartment complex, in my laundry smoking crack I could have shot him dead, when I ordered him off my property

        He was trespassing!

Now as for this Telemaque, who I cannot deny is related to me; let us put it this way: to each his own. If he is guilty of a crime, the crime of murder, then the law according to Dominica standard, will deal with him. If one can’t do the time they should not commit the crime! I would not even try to defend myself if I murdered someone unless it was in self defense okay!

Now in regards to Darwin, I believe they tried to step on him, but even Jesus Christ got angry in the Temple, and drove the money changers out, with all the other wrong dowers.

Real truth. Very Well Said. Yes the senile geriatric from Wesley was not braying on DNO as usual, when it came to his family members. Now we all know that the madness and vindictiveness is in their DNA. No wonder he is always so bitter and twisted. He probably looks just like the one in Antigua and the one in the mugshot who the police are looking for!
        We await his usual vitriol!

If you are the one who cut my umbilical cord; then you must be older than I am; and even if I am in my late 70’s, I am proud to be that old and damn rich too!

I am a rich little old man, alive while the young ones like you are dying with your brain fried with crack cocaine: who’s fool are you, what difference does it make whether I am a hundred and you are ten years old?

Can’t you see you are a damn idiot; people begin to age and die from the very first day they are born as a child!

Shut up if you have nothing to talk about, just shut up, If I die today, I am dying a very rich man; leaving my children and grandchildren wealthy too; so age  has paid me well!

Can you say the same, or you hope for a handout from Roosevelt, don’t ask me; you can stave!

@Framcisco: Rich? A retired canon fodder engineer from the army? Then why rely on the VA for care. You boast so much, by now you would have boasted giving up Medicare for the most needy I’d hope. Lol

      • July 12, 2018

@Real Truth, I second your comment! You are right on board!

      • July 12, 2018

Lies! Lies! Lies! They are all lies and empty boasting coming from that ugly old fellow. At that age a rich man would be on a “cruise ship” at least two or three times, this man cannot leave Los Angeles, because his creditors will go after him and throw him in prison

He is talking about “apartment complex” as if he owns the building, and yet he depends on the government of Los Angeles or California to pay the rent that the people should be paying him–why is that so? Just think about that! Lies, lies, lies, lies that never stops! It is stomach churning!

Francisco, talk on the street is that you are the landlord of the building with the rusty, rotting galvanized roof. With all the cash and roofing materials donated to government, how is it that you did not get any? Possible solutions: 1) Give Skerrit god-like worship 2) Wear red in public everyday 3) Curse every UWP supporter venomously .

Francisco are you not fed up with your own attitude. Negativsm is trying to take over you. Open your eyes. You need to grab that thing and crush it. You are supposed to be intelligent and more and more that intelligence is replaced by hatism, uglism, warism, strifism, obssessism of Roosevelt Skerrit and all the negative isms. You need to give suggestions my boy. With all the intelligence, you claim to have, Peace my brother!

      • Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque
        July 11, 2018

Your rhetoric here reminds me of one called Shallwaire, in Roseau. One night when his belly was over filled on boil dumplings and salt-fish the man went and sat on the side of the Carib Cinema: My brother and I going to the movies, he called out to me and said ” Francisco, you see all the dumpling and salt-fish I eat; well it make me restless, speechless helpless, sleepless, walk-less;” and any other kind of less you can think about eh!

The amount of “isms” you mentioned here reminds me of him! So, tell me anytime the truth rips you apart means I hate and into “isms.” Question marks; you might be contented to live in a backward dilapidated primitive place such as Dominica, but the majority of us feel humiliated to see our friends/family at home living in such despicable conditions.

All Roosevelt does is make people like you promises, after the promises he and his gang retreats into their millions of dollars home paid for!

      • July 12, 2018

Negativism is not trying to take over that fellow; it has taken over him from a long, long, time ago. He cannot speak and act positive, not for just one minute. That is how it is with a mind that has been plagued with darkness for much too long; there is no return to the Light.

        July 10, 2018

Wow there are person’s in Roseau with tarpaulin covered roof as well so yes they could be escaping to Roseau.

    • July 10, 2018

Those under a tapoline covered roof would have already long escape themselves to a hurricane shelter for their area even before the state of emergency and the curfew came into effect, so long they did not miss out on the news of such state of affairs the country was about to be faced with. Think.

      • Local
        July 10, 2018

Does that mean everyone should move to a hurricane shelter? because most people did not think their homes would have been destroyed. This curfew **** is BS because the Police failed miserably to secure and protect businesses in Roseau and surroundings. Why should the civilians be prisoners in their homes because of the lack of duties from the Police?
        This is Total BS.

    • jahchild
      July 10, 2018

If the person is under tarpaulin they should move to a shelter or safer place before the storm hits

    • rosebud
      July 10, 2018

escaping?shouldn’t they have moved to a hurricane shelter or somewhere that had an actual roof before any hurricane or bad weather? i believe the hurricane shelters were announced an ample time was given so that people could move. why should they be running from tarpaulin covered roofs during a hurricane. yeah they should be arrested!!!

      • Watchdog
        July 11, 2018

All you expat Dominicans have no clue. What hurricane shelters?? They have been distroyed and not rebuilt. Leaving your house or what’s left it? And then come back and even your night pot is gone!
