He said the Guyanese man, Neville Stan Johnson, sustained a gunshot wound to his right knee.

He was transported by the Fire and Ambulance Services to the Reginald Fitzgerald Amour Hospital in Portsmouth where he received medical attention.

He was then transferred to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was examined by a medical Doctor and admitted.

Pacquette was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 31, August 2016 where the charge was read to him and bail granted.

Pacquette is a holder of a firearm license and a .380 pistol was recovered, Jno Baptiste said.

Sammy is a calm, law abiding business man, no wonder he didn’t kill the fella. likely travels with money to purchase cattle to slaughter for the market, hence the licensed firearm. Who knows, the guy may have seen an opportunity thinking Sammy is just a stranger. Let the investigation of this incident conclude to see what it reveals before making outrageous comments on this one.

He shot someone and he was granted bail. Under what condition did he shoot the man?
Is it any wonder they keep committing crimes and expect bail which some are granted. The well-being and lives of others do not mean much to them, if nothing at all.
Too many have committed crimes as also murder and are out on bail. Is it any wonder that crimes have increased?
I have considered the government should construct a secure building to keep those who commit crimes and whose cases have not yet been heard. This could aid in deterring others from committing crimes. It may also result in crime-decrease.
If it is possible, it could be constructed at Stock Farm. After their hearing, if convicted, they should be transferred to the prison in Stock Farm.

Surprise!   Hopefully he is a legal resident. Dominica has become an international country. For a small country, this could eventually pose a problem in Dominica.

Look around you see how many of your fellow Dominicans are diasporas. I for one have been living outside of Dominica for the last 30 years. Out of that 30 I have lived in three different countries undocumented for20 years. Come better than that.
