Dorian Daley, a 23-year-old male from the community of Grand Fond has been charged with the unlawful death of his 62-year-old father.
According to reports from Police PRO, Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste on January 9th, 2017 Murray Daley sustained multiple injuries to his head and neck.
He was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was medically examined and admitted.
Jno Baptiste said on February 21st, 2017, Daley succumbed to his injuries.
A Coroner’s inquest was convened and as a result, on the Tuesday 21st, March 2017, Daley was charged with the alleged murder of his father
Zandoli do you know there is a difference between a father and a daddy? Anyone can be a father but it takes someone extra special to be a dad/ daddy. It simple means that any man can impregnate a woman and he becomes a father but when he bears the responsibility of raising this child providing his evey needs then he becomes a dad/daddy. That’s who Murray was to Dorian. We all have fathers but not many of us have daddies. Before you put another comment get to know the people involved first. Murray didn’t deserve the end he got especially not from a son he loved, a son he gave the opportunity to have a very wonderful life.
Murray was a gentle soul who did no harm to anyone. He loved his son and put his needs before his own. He is not responsible for the path that Dorian took. As a father he tried to instill the proper ways of life in him but he didn’t listen. He would visit his son whenever he was in jail. Is that the action of a man you didn’t care about his son? He loved him despite the choices he chose for himself. He was not just a father he was a daddy to Dorian. He didn’t deserve that fate not after cooking a meal for his son that morning and helping him with his tasks.
Who does not know Murray,and would give his or her comment in anyway have nothing to blame. But someone who is from grandfond and would give his negative comment against Murray is nothing but an enemy Murray knew nothing about. Well, if there is one in the village that is representirepresenting that person, it shows that Murray was a good man. I’m not scared for him.
God be with you Murray u will be missed .You did not deserve that. I hope Dorian receive his full punishment. Where he will not beable to do it to nobody again. Job well done to the smartness of his aunt who help ketching him.

The person whose name is called Truth. Have every right to be upset about zandoli. Who knows if that person named truth is not related to the deceased? The deceased was a good man in my village. Every one was scared of the son. He was raised with his father who treated him like any other responsible father. It would be interesting to know why he bludgeoned his father. There is no excuse for what he did. However, what led him to do this atrocious crime, depriving someone, his father at that, of his life.

It does not matter whether they lived as father and son or not. The fact is, he killed another human being which is a crime. He must be dealt with by Dominica’s Court of Justice.
May his attorney who will obviously be paid by taxpayers’ money, not say it is his first time and he did not waste the Court’s time. This is foolishness. He does not deserve leniency for this. His father is no more and he is still alive. This is why the punishment should fit the crime.

There was no reason for this sense-life death. This man is mentally stable and is a frequent visitor to the prison. He is a threat to his family and the grand fond community. This was a sad incident for that community and even worst on the family.
Very sad his will be behinds bars for years and his father is dead, I feel very sad for the family. I know for sure he is regreting what he did.

This is disheartening news. What lead a son to commit such an atrocious act against a parent? I’m keen on reading the facts of this case.
Perhaps he was not much of a father to the accused. I don’t know these people, but it would not surprise me that the accused was not raised by both parents in under the same roof. If that is the case, he may not have been much of a father. This is speculation on my part, but that explanation seem plausible considering your question.

DNO, there is no such thing as a charge of alleged murder. The charge is murder. Period.
Probably he is not yet tried and found guilty which is why DNO stated “alleged.” The man has to defend himself before the Court. Let us see/hear what the end result will be.

DNO aren’t you being a bit redundant here? Of course, unless he is convicted, it is an allegation by the prosecution. To say he was charged with the murder of his father would have been totally appropriate and factual in this case.
You need a very little small notebook on criminal law. Yes, he could be charged with anything – Howbeit, the charge (s) could be dropped, he could be found guilty as charged, or he could also be found not guilty of the charge (s). You are welcome.
