A man, identified as Richard Sablon, of Mero, has been hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from being attacked with a cutlass.
According to Police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, the incident is alleged to have occurred at Loubiere, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at about 9:30pm.
Sablon was said to have suffered injuries to his back and right elbow, inflicted by “an unknown male, dressed in full black, and armed with a cutlass.”
Sablon was then transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), where he was examined by a medical doctor, and admitted.
Investigations are ongoing.

When people participate in witchcraft they open themselves to the possibility of demon possession. I am not saying practicing witchcraft ALWAYS results in demon possession. I am saying the individual increases the risk because he or she is creating an opening for the devil. You should know that other things can also do this. Dabbling in ANY form of occult activity, drunkenness, drug use, pornography, and fornication. In most cases it is a combination of these things over a period of time. The risk is at its greatest then the combination includes alcohol and drug abuse.
To be delivered and set free by the power of God you must repent which means to turn away from your
unclean lifestyle. Believe the gospel which is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and Roman 1:16. Receive Christ as your Savior by calling upon Him and invite Him into your heart as it says to do in Romans 10:13 and Revelation 3:20.

A man seriously injured by a cutlass!
People being attacked by cutlasses, knives, and other sharp weapons of destruction is becoming more and more common. There are certain things that need to be understood.
(1) It is not only happening in Dominica. Such crimes are multiplying around the world.
(2) These crimes are sometimes unprovoked and for no reason. When will we realize that the people who do this type of thing are deeply troubled individuals? They have no peace. Their minds are in turmoil.
(3) These people are often acting compulsively for no know reason. They themselves often can give no reason for their actions.
Only God can give genuine peace to the human heart. Christ alone can heal the “inner person” which is the mind and emotions. This comes when we BELIEVE Christ’s death on the cross by the shedding of His blood puts our sins away, and we RECEIVE Him as our personal Savior. At that moment God changes our heart and transforms our life.

The devil reigns in the hearts of some people.
We are aware of the divisions and disunity in Dominica. These are also caused by evil hearts. Do not attribute it to only the criminals who are bad enough, as some who never committed a crime fall into that category. The ungodly are becoming more so daily.
Everyone must examine their conscience and see how they live and treat others and rectify their attitude. Only then Dominica will become better, if it ever does.
Give God his dues, genuine worship, prayer, penance, sacrifice and good works in Jesus’ Name, for love of him and neighbor as also a form of repentance.
God is taking note. He knows everyone, those who are trying and who are not trying. One day each will receive their just recompense as they deserve.
The Law must also let the punishment fit the crime. Do not return these criminals as also the cutlass-knife wielding and gun-shooting ones to the streets. They deserve to be incarcerated with hard labor.

i came to dominica in 2012 and when i did my research on the island before my arrival, i found out it was the safest island in the caribbean because back then it had less than 2 murder cases a year. fast forward, i left the island about a year ago and i intend to come back but i come to DNO i see “bodies where discovered her, a man was attacked with a cutlass, a mother killed her baby” and so on. it is scary and i can’t under why and how all these is happening in the course of a few years. i pray everyday for dominica because i love that place so much and would want nothing more than to come back and enjoy the place like i use to. i still maintain that dominica is the most beautiful place in the whole world and i think right now, demonic forces are at work and all we can do is pray and ask God to intervene and save our once beautiful and peaceful island restoring it to its former glory and undying perfection.
The 80% are losing their minds and acting out. That is what is happening. God has nothing to do with it. People have to protect themselves.
Anyone know whats happening with Dominica?? Before it was safest place on Carib, I spent days and nights in rain forest on beaches, averywhere with no problems but now each day – shootings, killings, robberies, now – this. We are going to develop some projects on Dom but now Im confused…
If you take stock and investigate these incidents are not random. its typically domestic incidents, revenge or some kind of deal gone wrong… not saying random things can’t happen but please stop with the over reaction. there are 70k plus people on island and most of us sleep with our doors unlocked. and windows open to take nice breeze.

Dominica is under a spell!!! It is becoming commonplace for a Dominican man or woman to stab, shoot or chop another Dominican as if it’s the most normal thing in this small Island population of slightly over 70,000 people. There is a spirit of EVIL and tolerance, justification and even defending acts of corruption, greed, theft, drug dealing, violent assaults and of course murder. Some people blame the one man Government and the economic conditions for this scourge and maybe that may be in part a factor. However, there is clearly something far more sinister at work here. There is obviously an underlying spirit of necromancy, obeah, voodoo and demonic possession silently permeating the Island. This is real, you can actually see it in the eyes of some people as they celebrate, tolerate and defend the abuse of the Nation’s children. The political division that is now in a “cold war” status is creating an environment for evil to creep in and take hold.

So are you insinuating that these atrocities which are committed in other countries also practice necromancy, obeah and voodoo? Weren’t these things also practice ever since in days gone by? Actually, these practices were not considered evil until the Europeans made us to believe so. If these practices were so evil, why is it that we couldn’t use it to defeat our true enemies?
Our spirituality has been demonized and the Europeans’ witchcraft has been put on a pedal stool. We do not even know what these ancient practices were about. They were not meant to harm or hurt but in those days, there were people called seers. They could tell us about what was to happen because they were a spiritual people and were closer to nature. Today, we are so distracted that we can’t tell what the next day is going to be. Our ancestors were highly spiritual and intelligent.
Ever since we have come in contact with our oppressors, we have lost what we had and we have been made in their images.
That is why we hate, abuse, criticise, despise, disrespect and do so many things to each other. There are so many different religions but we are getting worse. We have adopted the nature of the gods that these religions represent and we have lost our way. Until we return to our spirituality, we will continue to harm and hurt each other. We need to wake up and relieve ourselves from religion. We can’t see unless our eyes are opened. Our ancestors were forced to become christians and ever since our spirituality has been lost. There are different forms of witchcraft since it comes from various parts of the world. It has a tendency to change over time as new potions, rituals, and chants are added, and beliefs regarding white magic and black magic becomes altered. The practices differ from place.
But witchcraft is all evil. Jehovah – the true and living God – said “You shall have no other Gods besides me.” He also said “You shalt worship Jehovah your God, and him only shall you serve.
Witchcraft is drawing on the power of Satan to make things – good or bad – happen. It is especially used to make things happen in one’s life or in the life of another person. Is used to influence a person to do something against their will. Or to “cast a spell” against an enemy in other words to punish or hurt that person.
In the Bible witchcraft is listed as one of the works of the flesh and God says “…they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)
God is still incharge, we refused to surrender our country to the darkness.

Be strong in the Lord. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Do not give Satan any place nor part in your beautiful land.
Be FOR what God is FOR and be AGAINST what God is AGAINST
At election time find out where your candidates stand on the moral and social issues. Vote for the candidate who best represents Biblical morals and values. Tear down (not literally) anything that promotes sin. Report every known case of sexual child abuse and politely insist on knowing when it will be investigated.

I recognize the truthfulness and accuracy of your comment. What you have said shows amazing insight. You are right. There is a Satanic army at work captivating the minds and driving the behavior of many of the people on in Dominica. You mention necromancy, obeah, voodoo and demon possession. Yes, these things are realities. They are present and dynamic on the Island.
They are also in other countries and have been in the world for thousand of years, maybe since the beginning of time. In some places they are known by different names. But Satan is the source and the evil fruits are basically the same. They come with the greatest force to places where the witness to the true gospel is the weakest, unbiblical religion is followed, alcohol and drug abuse is rampant, and fornication is considered normal and acceptable, and of course the illegitimacy rate is the highest because
God’s moral code is not honored.
