Melville Hall man remanded for allegedly stealing solar panel, garden equipment

A Melville Hall man was remanded at the state’s prison yesterday after he was unable to provide a proper surety for bail when he pleaded not guilty to stealing a solar panel, wheel barrow and a garden fork from a woman of that community.

When his charge was read, Renold Ettiene told Magistrate Candia George that he was only guilty of stealing the solar panel and not the other items. This was regarded as a not guilty plea and a trial was set for the matter on June 1, 2011.

The stolen items were valued at $2,620.The incident allegedly occurred on May 31, 2010.

sending a man in the jail for this? a solar panel, a wheel barrow? so as long as one did not contact a minister or the PM before he/she goes to court the penalty is stiffer? thats not justice. dont tell me that the man could not be bailed on his own or even reprimanded or put on probation? is this place in stockfarm the only positive answer? i dont think so. there’s no other way in d/ca to help with the rehabilitation of criminals or offenders other than stockfarm? the answer rest on the court system? in the event stock farm is destroyed? is there an alternative? maybe the castle thats being built in vieille-case, or the housing scheme in tantan or the hotel/brothel in checkhall.
