Men ‘missing’ at sea found with 10,000 Euros

Three men, two from Grandbay and one from Newtown who were reported missing at sea, are being investigated by customs.

Police Chief Cyril Carette says the men were found with 10,000 Euros in their possession.

The men were reported missing last week. Reports have now surfaced that they were rescued by a passing tanker at sea and taken to Martinique where they were located by Dominican authorities.

“Ian Liverpool and Aronian Larond of Grandbay and Junior Xavier of Newtown were rescued yesterday (Tuesday) by a passing tanker. The information came to us through the Maritime Rescue Coordinating Center in Martinique. They were brought to the Coast Guard base where their belongings were searched and during that time the money was retrieved. The money is now in the hands of the customs,” he said.

Carrette said the reports on their expedition are conflicting.

“We were told that they went fishing. Another said they went on a ‘mission’. If it was fishing, I could tell fishermen that the trade has become extremely lucrative with top yields of 10,000 Euros within a few days,” he said.

I knew it was something like that that happened. Why you think the families never wanted to file the missing persons report? They go on a mission eh? Look like the boat motor give up and they couldn’t row enough! Guess they didn’t service the engine properly? 10000 euro. Jail them, then put them back on the same boat where they were found after they complete their sentence. I’m fed up of people like that giving dca bad name

Anyways we dont know who they kill, you never know….bones may show up in Martinique like they did in Elmshall. It is wrong to traffic drug period. These same guys if you ask them to work in agriculture they wont, cause the cash not fast enough. I always wondered about the boat in Montine…..as Montine has no sea. Guess my question has been answered. Learn never buy goods from China, and if you want a job done well dont hire cheap labour, get the professionals to do a good cheap. You all are paying for your cheapness. :-D
