Me and my wife are coming to Dominica in December and are sorry for what has happened with the hurricane but reading about your problems with stupid gun crime really saddens us. This will stop tourists if it is not handled forcefully then the beautiful country you have will suffer. Come on politicians get it sorted,I can’t wait to visit, my first return since I last visited in 1969
    See you in December ………Barry

Some of you all have alot to say but please know that the guy who was shot is my brother and he was a bit in a difficult but unstable situation and he wasn’t aware of what was happening at the time, his mind is sometimes far but i can say that, he is not a dangerous person he is kind and loving guy once you get to know him, the guy who shot him in in fact our cousin and he on the other hand was not happy about shooting my brother but i must say that when you are in this situation …..seeing that you are going to die, you have to take it on your own and defend yourself, he did just that, he defended himself and shot my brother to at least stop him from his-self……..People just know that no one is to be blamed for this …….As much as he is my brother and he is in the hospital, he needs to seek help before something else happens to him….

oh wow dominica in the shooting business too. I thought we were an exception to the gun violence…. what a shame. I hope witnesses talk and the culprit is hung to death or sentenced to life.. I doubt they will do any of that but a strong strong strong message needs to be sent to these fools

Leave massacre and it’s so called definition out it it- 1 shooting does not equate a Massacre ….. i have no idea what the deal is- but whatever the case- no dominican needs to have a gun – guns should be for the professionals not just anyone who hasn’t read the manual…

Balance you not easy hay hay you make me laugh.

But for real what is going on in Massacre. Yes we know how our name came about, but that community is relatively peaceful; I mean everywhere has its twacas between neigbours and friends and families, but shooting? No man, something is wrong. That’s not the Massacre I grew up in at all.

However if it is a thief gone to rob someone or as I am hearing self defence, then I feel no remorse whatsover for the idiot who got shot. Its time you all start respecting people and their property.

When one trespasses on another’s property, a man has a right to defend his castle. Let us get the facts before jumping to conclusions.

well before we judge about gun this man in question had to use his gun to defend his self so this man should be dead. the man in question who shot the other guy has his license for his gun and is time that people respect other people
