Police investigate suspected homicide in Savanne Paille

The police are treating the discovery of a body in a shallow grave in Savanne Paille as a case of suspected homicide.

The remains of the man were found around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 8.

Police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste said the man remains unidentified and the remains have been secured pending identification and a coroner’s inquest.

He said one man is in police custody in relation to the discovery.

Investigations are ongoing, Jno Baptiste said.

    Well Dominica is progressing in a very bad way…It is a shame that such a small island is sending a bad message to foreigners who would like to invest in our country ;this might make them change there mind..

    I am curious to know who is the deceased man. I recall reading on DNO about a worker who traveled with a man after work. The one who was with him said, the man told him he was going to a Titiwi Festival (some festival) and then he was going on a boat. He was not heard from.
    People must stop killing others. It profits them nothing.
