Police will protect our borders – Weekes

Inspector Weekes

Law enforcement officials here are concerned about protecting Dominica’s borders, police public relations officer Inspector Claude Weekes has said.

He said officials are networking with the Caribbean and international community “to minimize the impact of criminality around our borders, in our borders” after the police coast guard here intercepted a Venezuelan boat west of Dominica on Monday.

Weekes reported Wednesday that police have been investigating the details surrounding the presence of the boat in local waters. The vessel, with six men on board had been taken to the Fond Cole’ coast guard base after being intercepted.

The customs and fisheries departments have particular interest in the matter, Weekes added.

Mr Weeks you do have a striking ressemblence of Bubbles.

My take on the issue is that we should focus on arresting and putting away the local dealers who do business with the infikltraters. By doing so we should be able to conserve money and resources fighting drug trafficers on the ocean.

keeny G you gave up the clarinet for a camera? lolYou say Weeks loks like bubbles lol.
Soon you will be suggesting to Mr.Weeks he should open up a few laundry-marts (not Villas) as Laundry-Marts produces lots of bubbles lol! Chimme lot of chimme. But bubbles is interested in big cash not the .25 cent pieces one put in a washing machine.Remeber to move to the next level you have to have a large inflow source of cash. So laundry-marts won’t cut it for bubbles. The philosophy of moving to the next level is alot of $$ from any where and speed. forget the taxes for now you can always pay that after the fact.Just find a lawyer (and you can get them .50cents a dozen these days, even those who want to legalize potbut never smoked not even the experience of a little eyes red) who can tell amagistrate or judge it was a mistake and you’ll pay. This has become common practice today begining with those onstage( currently)and in charge. Remember that statement? Well those incharge has taken that statement of the UWP to the next level lol! You hink these politicos easy?
I wonder(seeing Mr.weeks resembles bubbles) ever pulled a gun on people coming too close to his whatever kind of mansion he claims to own? So keeny G continue to blow your instument you are so good at and do not expect any action in a positive direction soon. it will take anti-Saverin style palace coupe to bring a hault to all the bull crap going on on the commonwealth of Dominica today.

We appreciate the fact that our border needs protection from our forces. That is excellent and any nation should appreciate the protection we receive from our paid law enforcers. My only concern is this protection and and law enforcement should be across the board. Example, the Venezuelan who were caught in D/can waters a year or two ago were set free with boat, money and all the other items which would not have happened under proper law procedures.
I hope this new case will be investigated properly and with no outside or political interferrence. Let us show our Law enforcement that they are not putting their lifes’ at risk for nothing. That we are proud of them doing their job and doing it to the best of their ability. Show us the justice system works, Please!!

Protection & Law enforcement ?? Where? I lived in JA for many years and it is interesting a society for sociological studies. I think it was Dr.Saverin who mentioned/fortified my observations when I lived there.talk about a corrupt political system! Crooked policemen! My word! I was proud to be from DA then.I boosted about how clean our force was relative to JA’s. A friend and co-worker told me it was a work in progress just give it another decade.he was so right.See what we have today.
let’s just take a few issues and at one glance think about them individually. remember Francess Pierre-Charles former bank employee who left work mid-day and was found dead in her car, throat slit?
Missing alledged drug dealers, remeber one from lower River Street? he just vanished in thin air.
The guys withthe bar in New town in relationship to the boat deaths somewhereoff the west coast of DA near Newton? The countless events in the north. can you recall a high up Gov’t individual who went to a whatwas supposed to be a 50th birthday party in stead it was a king pin celebrating his first 10 million in gross sales?Who we the individuals don’t ask me i don’t know i heard.not acceptable evidence? that would have a case dismissed.I heard lawyers were present.
Now the case mention of the boat from venezuela in which the men were captured with candy wasn’t they released with all their candy?
protection and law enforcement my big toe.tickle the normal population with your bull.
The movies has always represent real life. Ever seen a movie where an individual sees a crime in motion goes to the cops only to find out the cops are part of the act? Moreso in mafia movies the cops work for the mafia.
Do you( tell me) still have faith in the BS of protection and law enforcement? when your or should i say the puppet commissioner does not know what an arsonist is or does? It’s like mixing up Obama with Osama yellow cheese with a bar of yellow soap or spelling soup for soap.i just thought of it as i almost did lol! Lur AO! it’s really laugherable.
