A new executive has been elected to run the affairs of the Police Welfare Association (PWA).

At the association’s annual general meeting held over the weekend police constable, Jefferson Drigo, who headed the last executive, topped the polls and retained the job of President.

However, he has a new person as his deputy in Sergeant Philbert Bertrand.

Sergeant Nicholas Bruno was elected treasurer and Corporal  David Andrew Jr, Secretary.

Sergeant Pelam Jno Baptiste holds the post of Assistant Secretary/treasurer while Inspector Alvin John is acting  public relations officer.

The other committee members are Constable Boycott Yankey, Vivian Maximie and acting Corporal Alvin Bazil.

Drigo said he is happy to have been reelected as president, which shows  that the association has confidence in his leadership.

He hopes to continue working towards the further development of members of the PWA and the best interest of police officers.

Cops@robbers,let me give you some support as it relates to the elected president. In my opinion Jeff Drigo is a very weak president, moreover, it may well be a set up by the cabal regime to have this man reelected. I certainly did not vote for him.

Greetings, I see you all really like to insult people. Do you know that the police officer is and becomes a spy from the day he or she takes the oath of office? Thats what police officers do they keep an eye on affairs as state security, why do you want to attack the man who has been serving his nation for over twenty five years as a police officer, who has spied under the DFP and UWP why is it now a bad thing to spy? This is a man who has served his country in various capacities, National Cricketer, Musician, Mentor for youth, do you think you can destroy his credibility with you spying allegation. He is one of the best police officers I know and your slack attack cannot derail his progress. I wish people like you would stop hiding behind those false names when you make allegations coward. Wait and witness further elevation of one of the most talented men in the ranks of the police force, yes the Spy, who has been spying from 1988 to the present. We have his back do not ever think that he has no family or friends out there who stand with him. This is addressed to DUNCE CAT above.

Congratulations guy please keep a keen eye on the prime ministers boy onte team, the one who was sent to spie in NY. Now salary negotiations is due be aware of how good the PM and others say the economy is to the point where they have employed 400 persons and announced that soon they are going to employ 300 more. So there is no way that 0.0 and 1% is going top be acceptable
