Police have confirmed the death of St. Joseph resident Elvin Christmas, 60, after he was fished out of sea this week.
Christmas’ body was reportedly spotted by tourists at the Mero Beach on Tuesday, while swimming.
No official information has been given, as to what may have caused Christmas’ death; however, there were reports that fishing gear was noticed at the scene, suggesting that the deceased could have been fishing before his death.
Just recently, on March 7 another St. Joseph resident 49-year-old Regan Emmanuel Adams was found dead in the heights of the village on Sunday.
Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Claude Weekes had described Adams’ death as “suspicious.” He said one male was assisting police with their investigations.
