wow reading this makes me sad. face the facts knows no facts . and rev. donald should go read a modern book on cannabis …wake up! cannabis promotes brain cell growth ,helps broken bones heal quicker, can make glaucoma blind see!, increases longevity especially in athletes, does not lead to drug use, thats a problem of an individual persons personality and bad parenting. weed is only illegal because someone got paid.

      very true
Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognized. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Just open your hands mr jacket and tie and Mrs. Stiletto, all the fingers on your hands aren’t the same length, so the world that we live in is made up of all types of ppl with different personalities. March 15, 2016

It’s time to legalize it !!! Like so many other countries, Jamaica for example !
Police should be busy solving crimes, robberies, arresting drivers racing on the roads and child abuse !
Stop harassing ganja farmers and weed smokers and remember from where this medicinal plant came from !

can any one tell me what is legal and what is illegal? who criminalize marijuana, and whose footsteps are we following? today the very ones that criminalized the herb are now legalizing it, yet we in this nature isle where every thing grows naturally crucifies our fellow men because of an ideology.
but you know what the same people that was shouting LABAR, may be they are the very ones who are being harassed, they can’t sell passports so they got to do something to survive.

just pray the psalms for those enemies.

I’m nor a marijuana user nor a seller. I don’t smoke nothing but pork. But looking at this herb which is as any other plant on the planet – Who made this one “illegal?” I guess if man should choose to smoke breadfruit leaves the government (s) would make it illegal too. The way I see it is; if an individual wants to smoke it, he / she should be free to smoke it. Many researches have shown undoubtedly, that cigarette smoke causes cancer – Meaning, it is deadly. However, people are free to buy and sell and smoke cigarette with impunity That I don’t understand. I am amazed that a natural growing plant has been made illegal to the general public. This is really confusing.

Guys, the police are on your heels. They know your tricks.
You take chances. It isn’t worth it. You expect to grow these types of trees unnoticed?
You should know what you have done is illegal. These illegal drugs are unhealthy.
Why not grow some fruits and vegetables instead? They are good for your health and that of others.
Good for the police. They are catching some of them. Later for more of them.

Who gives us the right to make God plant illegal the rum which is made so the young people can form fools of them self is not illegal nor the cigarette which we all knows gives cancer. Smh

        March 15, 2016

God knows what those plants are used for. This is why they are illegal.
These drugs are cancerous. They damage the brains and cause those who ingest them to look like fools.
People have a right to do as they please but when the Law says it is illegal, it is so. You do not argue with the Law.
People who ingest these drugs never cease. They keep taking them until they destroy them. Some people steal and kill to purchase these drugs. They will do anything to get them.
Some are murdered because they cannot afford to pay for them.
Remember the D/can man in Pottersville who was burnt for owing a drug pusher $30.00?
Keep on saying who has the right to prohibit God’s plant.
Let me inform you further. God set His Ten Commandments. When last you obeyed one at least? When last you went to church and prayed?
Just leave God’s Holy Name out of it. The Law of God and the Law of the land must be obeyed. If the latter is wrong, God will deal with them.

Meanwhile, an annual repot on the cannabis industry predicts $44 billion dollars by 2020. Better than passport sale that enrich the few and elite.

  17. March 14, 2016

The growth and sale of cannabis attracts to itself those products with which marijuana is so often found: cocaine, heroine, and illegal guns.

To nip the sale of marijuana in the bud is to squash the sale of these more harmful items before it happens.

Because illegal drugs in Dominica are sometimes enroute to American and Canadian cities the Dominica Police Department Drug Squad is doing a job appreciated by others abroad!

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

Good work guys. Trust other cases can come to court in the same quick fashion……unless of course they can afford a clever lawyer to get a judicial review for these marijuana farmers also.

It is so sad to hear in this day and age than human beings are put in prison for a plant made by God ,,If Dominica and it’s leaders were more intelligent they would have legalized marijuana. Many states in America have legalized marijuana ,,Israel Gov’t now sells marijuana for those that are in pain. I can freely buy clothes, cloth, oil, shampoo and other products made from marijuana. I am certain that the day that the gov’t will decide to legalize marijuana and tax the marijuana planters from the money that they will make from it ,they the politician will never call it a drug and give negative comments concerning ..Why is it that many years ago a certain police officer from goodwill was arrested in a marijuana traffic he was never imprisoned but only lost his job?

Time to free up the nation with the herb,,just today it was on news the U S made more than 1 billion $ on marijuana sales while the state earned 138 million $ in revenue from the herb.

You make it sound like the police can anticipate who the next rapist will be and where he is likely to strike. It is not as easy safeguarding against rapist as going after drug suppliers based on intelligence gathered from a community. A rapist strikes suddenly and unexpectedly and usually catches everyone (including the police) off guard..
