UPDATE: Antiguan ex-cops granted bail

Police in Antigua investigating the murder of Dominicans Alwin Robin and Alix Riviere have charged two former policemen for unlawful possession of cocaine which was reportedly found on the murder scene.

The two have been identified as Aleigh Byer and Cosbert Sergeant who, according to reports, are custodians of the property in which 35 kilograms of the illegal drug were found along with the bodies of Riviere and Robin.

The two were granted bail in the sum of $1.2-million.

The bodies of Riviere and Robin were found on October 4 in an area call Cedar Valley. Both men were shot execution style.

Riviere was found with his hands bound and he was severely beaten while Robin was found nearby.

The cocaine was reportedly found by police when they were called to the scene of the murders.

Those who are in certain positions as the police should live exemplary lives. We would never consider that some of them are shady characters who are involved in shady businesses as drugs and murders. They are bad eggs.
Remember Dorothy Prince who was murdered by a policeman in Antigua early this year.
Sometime ago someone commented on DNO that nine Antiguan policemen were charged for crimes. It is shocking that those who are supposed to serve and protect the public and uphold the Law are its destroyers.

All due respect to the deceased and his family cause that was a miserable way to die. And he was a cool guy, and great to his employees and friends. I knew that about him. But I never forgot he was a drug man. Plain and simple. And so the amount of sympathy I have is reduced because he helped to put this poison called cocaine in the hands of young people for his own personal gain. So all those preaching praises, well maybe you didn’t know the truth. But for those of us who knew the truth its sad cause he was a guy with potential but chose to use it for wrong.
Still hoping his soul rests in whatever peace the Almighty sees fit. Not my place to judge.

A wise man keeps a cool head. Since we were not there, we are just speculating. Whatever happens in the dark, must come to light. That’s why the Lord say,” be still and know that I am your Lord” Instead of speculating, we must hope for justice and start searching our own hearts. If we are not killing each other with a gun, are we gossipers, lires, stealing, taking each others husbands or wives. Sin is sin. Don’t judge too much if we were not there. Just hope for true justice for those who were killed, and sympathy for the family.

Its sad to read that those who are expected to uphold the law are the ones who violate it. Alex was buried this morning. Alwin will be buried tomorrow. May their souls rest in peace. Many of us have been morning their loss ever since that day when the news swept through the airwaves. Those of us who knew Alix and Alwin felt the pain literally cutting through our belly like a dagger. We will shed our tears, we will pray and we will wait for the murders to reveal themselves for all to see. It wont be too long that day will come sooner than we think. Fairwell my brothers. If they are charged for the drugs… And not the murders… Puts me to believe that the killers did not come for Alwin and Alix… But rather the drugs and the two fellas charged

The killers knew the drugs were in the house…
Maybe Alwin was their (those charged for the drugs) friend to trust him to leave him a house with 40 Kilos of cocaine

Somebody knew everything that was going…

ME…..if you can safely say and prove that Alex was a drug dealer, then I will give you everything i own and worked hard for….because this would mean i am also a drug dealer too, since i have friends who are alleged into drugs, some are smokers, some are drinking alcohol, some take others’ wives, tell lies, etc.
your time is coming, just you wait….if you continue to cast judgement on innocent and hardworking young men like Alex…..then again, most probably, you knew nothing about this guy, how he struggled to survive under sun and rain, and despised anything illegal.
why don’t you think down the line of him being at the wrong place at the wrong time, thus hearing what he most probably shouldn’t have heard; thus the reason for his abduction?
but the again, you’re so quick to judge, that you most probably do not have the analytical skills and basic common sense to come to a reasonable conclusion based on the situation as it is presented to you, and the limited facts available.

I am trying to make sense of this. This is one convoluted affair. There must have been some double crossing among these drug dealers. It seem to me that this house did not only have coccaine and it seem like the killers prefered the cash.Somebody new that this house was the house of the rising sun for coke dealers – could it be some active COPS who knew the vibes and was just interested in the money. The EX COPS may know the killers. My suspicion is that the killers knew that a deal was going down. The DVD dude propably was suppose to do the purchase and had the money. The murder victims also may have known the killers.
The fact that the killers wanted no part of the coccaine tells me that the killers are either in Antigua or they might have been visitors who just came in to do there business and get out- possibly via the airport.

I am no Perry Mason just shooting hot air cause this case is really mysterious(lol)
