Wesley man on firearm charges

Clyde Telemacque of Wesley, who is facing multiple charges under the new Firearms Act, was denied bail when he appeared before a Roseau Magistrate  on December 18, 2012.

He is charged with shooting with intent, discharging a firearm in public, possession of firearm, possession of ammunition, attempted murder and more.

Police prosecutor Claude Weekes asked the court to remand Telemacque in custody since “the offence was very serious and the police were still in search of another firearm.”

Weekes pointed out that Telemacque is a potential flight risks as he is a boat owner and it is alleged that he ferries persons to the neighboring French islands.

“The police have to be protected from such persons and we are in the middle of a busy season. We also fear he will interfere with witnesses,” Weekes said.

But Telemacque’s lawyer, Bernadette Lambert, countered, calling the offences “bail-able” and called on the court to “reject” the arguments put forward by the prosecution. “The court can impose several conditions … we have persons ready to be surety and we urge the court to reject the arguments of the prosecution and grant bail to him,” she said.

In response, magistrate Candia Carette-George stressed the nature of the offense and said the public must be protected. “The nature of the offences means that the public needs to be protected, I will not grant bail to him, you can try the high court or another magistrate but from me his bail is closed until next year,” she said.

The matter is set to be heard in Wesley on May 24, 2013.

      Who is talking?

One who commences a sentence with a lower case letter, and one who does not know how to spell Wesley oui!

      Westly, what is fool?

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I wonder from under rock you came from.

And for your information only, all Telemaque’s are not from Wesley, we are international, originated in Senegal West Africa, we are found on the Ivory Cost of Africa, all over the United States, and elsewhere, France, Denmark; we date back to more than five hundred years in Vatican City in Rome!

We are perhaps a who came to the West Indies under our original name, our birth name, ours is not a slave name like yours if you have one.

I the kid from Wesley more than forty years ago did the research, and found out how my people came to the Caribbean, we came as trades men, and Judges, as in a legal system.

When I was a kid around eight or nine years old, and old man Frederick Telemaque, the same of Wesley, impressed what I stated above on me I laugh, and said to myself he did not know what he was talking about, until Idid my research, and found out for myself.

To Crowned it all, when my older daughter was a student of Cal State University of Long Beach California, there was an African Historian lecturing there , he saw her name on the student roll, he put himself out and ensure he met my daughter, and confirm to her that Telemaque is indeed not a slave name, we might be a unique few in the Western World still living under our original name.

If you want an Education do a profile on ” Vessy Denmark Telemaque” and see what you discover.

If you goggle Vessy Denmark insurrection perhaps from the information you read if you have the intelligence to understand what you read you get my drift!

Okay, when a man is wrong he must admit he is wrong, and so I stand corrected, you all have every right to beat up on me this time.

I was actually into the case involving Ashton and the police who stol the gun from the police; I was informed this morning that the police is suspended from the force, and that matter is pending.

As for the matter involving Clyde, the information I obtained is vague, hence I have no further comments on that matter until I get the details in full; until then if you all wish to assassinate me there is nothing I can do, I have no actual defense at this time oui!

So, fire away at me head at will, shoot to kill:

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Have fun: ah lost the skirmish, the battle and the war!

DNO do not hesitate to allow this one ( gee dem ) this victory ya!

I do not know as I said; I am confounded right now, since I cannot get any details from the relatives I spoke with this morning, however, if he discharged a fire arm in public domain he must be prepared to suffer the consequences, if one cannot do the time they should not commit the crime!

Be he family, or not; I shall never condone such uncivilized and reckless action perpetrated by anyone.

However, I think it is also ridiculous that any judge should deny any person bail because of discharging a fire arm in public.

Let us face it; murderers are granted bail in our country, so which is a heinous crime, and which is not?

Whereas discharging a fire arm in public can be classified a felony, it is not as severe as the murder of someone.

If indeed the magistrate believes that a culprit is a flight risk all that magistrate or judge has to do is demand that the accuse submits his/her passport if they have one; and order that the person report to a probation officer periodically.

In this case the magistrate should not release the accuse on his or her own recognizance!

The accuse should secure bail through a friend, relative, or a bails bond operators who would be liable to monitor the bailed individual, bail should be set in the amount equivalent to which the person would be charged in court for the offense in the event the person fails to appear on the court date, after a warrant is issued for their arrest, if they are not found the posted bail money would be forfeited.

In any event if he fired of a round in public he is at fault , he was wrong to conduct himself that way, and should be prepared to suffer the consequence.

I wonder how they would feel if the defense lawyer or any of the supporters of this guy has a friend or family member, or even worst a child caught in a cross fire and gets shot and killed by this guy after they fought so hard and put up surety for his bail. What if he gets out and then a situation like this happens.
In my pea brain housing my imaginative mind I think some lawyers and cold, brave people.

You know I think Weeks is a greater flight risk from Dominica than my cousin!

An innocent man does not run, and in the event he wanted to run and I was informed, I have the potential to get him out of Dominica under your very nose and you would not know it.

It is unconscionable to deny him bail; he has not murdered anybody, nor has he stolen anything: While you Weeks deny him bail, one of your offers, the one who stole the damn gun is still on the force, playing police harassing peoples’ children.

What are you doing about him?

If Telemaque is under arrest, the man who is a darn thief; stoled government firearm while in the performance of his duty, he too should be under arrest without bail!

You people are so bias, confounded and wicked it is not funny.

Your police officer gave Clyde the van not belonging to him to go to the custom for whatever reason, the van belong to another from Wesley whom was at the time in London burying his dead wife!
    .
We can prove that he left his van in the care of one of your police, also from Wesley, who authorized (me )cousin to drive it, with the stolen gun under the seat.

Clyde is the fall guy in this matter and you know it!

Let Telemaque go free and arrest arrest you own man who’s the thief and culprit in this matter.

Now you can ask my cousin to become State evidence to testify against the thief, you subordinate, the cop, copper, police whatever they are called on your incompetent force, however, let the innocent free!

And by the way, what is this ” Telemacque” That is not the way “Telemaque” is spelt, what happen you do not know how to spell man?

Now Fraccisco! u are quick to criticize Claude Weekes now just because the accused is ur cousin, other times u would congratulate Weekes for what he is doing
Clyde did’nt steal the fire-arm but no one sent him to discharge it at some other person, the reason he is being charged for attempted murder. He could keep the gun without using it, but decided attempting to take some one’s life, so Clyde has to face the music.
now u are quick to chastize DNO for spelling “Telemaque” as “Telemacque”Now what have u done with “Weekes” for “Weeks” four weeks in the month? lol

im wondering where that Dods Telrmaque or Dodds Telemacque is from is it Dominica or Dominika. im sure there are Telemacques in dominica. he just need to talk to feel important so lets not bash him too much.

      • December 19, 2012

Hell no; when he denied the woman bail for receiving some stolen run, alcoholic beverages, I criticized him then. I have many times given him his glory when he is right, although I have suggested many times that a prosecutors job belong to a train attorney.

I do not mind him doing his work as long as he is civil and fair about it; however, the facts of this case is clare, my cousin has no access to the police armory, he does not dabble into police business, as far as I know he drove a truck for his living, working with another relative of ours in the person of Emlord Timothy.

Weeks as well as the rest of the police force, knows who stole the damn gun, he is one of the same, a police officer also from Wesley; he resides in that little area we call Poor-Man-Connor in Wesley.

His butt should be under arrest, and not the kid Telemaque

Say I told you so, and if they want to put out a contract on (me) head for reveling what I know I welcome the challenge, because if they succeed in assassinating me, after I am dead the one who kills me shall also suffer the same faith, so get that straight also.

I been through hell and back in the years I am living, nothing fades or frightens me, I been living for a long time, and can deal with anything that comes my way!

The shoe is not on the other feet; I simply have no tolerance for crime, regardless to who commits the crime, however, it is also a crime to hold an innocent person accountable for a crime they did not commit.

And for him who said I say things about the government, perhaps you are out of your mind: My position when the government does something for the country that is good, I do not care which government does it as long as it is good I supports it, when they screw up, I give them hell, and why I can operate that way?

Simple: I am do not play partisan politics, my personal like or dislike for a politician has nothing to do with politics, I know how to separate the business of the country

      @ Telemacaque:

magistrate Candia Carette-George stressed “….I will not grant bail to him”

yet you claim that “you Weeks deny him bail”

I fully agree with you. I think your cousin should be set free and arrested only after he has murdered someone.

so if they just ammended the fire arms law why didn t they add no bail to fire arm related charges? really do these people take their time to draft these laws? do the solicit the imput of the police public and the court?

    December 19, 2012

Can our magistrate’s be more consistent and speak in one voice in such situations? Look at Inspector Weeke’s standard arguments to deny bail. It is the same arguments week after week after week. It does not matter what the offence or who is the accuser – flight risk, interfere with witnesses, investigations still ongoing, evidence still not secured etc etc. Common Inspector sure you can do better. But good decision anyway. Let him stay in prison untill another court decide otherwise.
