The whereabouts of a woman, who reportedly went missing in mid-May, remains a mystery and police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating her.

Sherian Joseph, living in Castle Bruce but originally from Petite Soufriere, was last seen at about 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 15, 2016 on the Castle Bruce Highway and has not been seen since.

Police PRO, Acting Inspector, Pellam Jno Baptiste said Joseph, 21, is dark in complexion, about 5 ft 5 inches tall and is slim with an oval shaped face.

“At the time she was last seen she was wearing a short black jeans and a black top,” he revealed.

Investigations are ongoing.

He said anyone with information which can assist the police in the search for Joseph can contact the Criminal Investigations Department at telephone numbers 266-5164, 266-5165 and 266-5119 or Crime Stoppers Dominica at 1-800-8477.

I don’t think the police force is doing enough. This was in an abusive relationship her boyfriend should be a prime suspect and the person who call her for him

I think YOU know something. Why don’t YOU tell us/police/ her family where she is? Don’t you think they care about her? Don’t you think they’re concerned? C’mon now…

  5. Why do I get the feeling that the police are not doing their best?

Maybe it is because there is something (or some things) missing in the police reports and the DNO news articles. There is a lack of vitality. No zip. No zest.

Does the Dominica Police Force have no K-9 Unit? Don’t poke fun at the security guards. I once worked in private security. I remember an occasion when the local police borrowed one of our dogs!

What has been the extent of the police search or has there been one :?:

Has there been an organized civilian search? People looking does not constitute a “search”.

Normally the police would interview her boyfriend first. He was arrested so I expect they have done this. Why have they not told us more? People want to know! They will be more willing to phone in with tips if
    have more information.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

It is alleged that she had just left a abusive relationship… as a survivor myself that is a flag for concern.
Check her last fb post.. that is also a cause for concern.
Come on Police Dept, we know you can do it.. find the young lady already.

don’t you think that it is time that this call police force should have a K-9 Unit ? sometimes I think that an organization who are suppose behave in a professional manner behaves like ordinary security guards in uniform .

Law enforcement does have K-9; used by Customs Law Enforcement and are trained on multiple levels

Can the police say if they have mounted a search of any kind?

    • Strange they haven’t told us.

If I lived in Dominica and this was one of my family members guaranteed I would be over it.
