A woman was taken into police custody during a drug bust in Loubiere.
The bust was made during an operation by the Drug Squad and the Custom Canine Unit on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
Police PRO Inspector John Carbon said 165,710 grams of cannabis were found in a house and seized.
The woman, whose name was not released by the police, was arrested and is assisting the police in their investigations.

She is not from Loubiere. she rents a house in Loubiere but lives with her boyfriend in Kingshill. She is from Newtown proper. Please investigate her extended family and you will see the connection to the bigger business

Never make excuses for those who are unemployed. Some people are unemployed through their own fault. They may not have taken an interest in studies while at school and there are other reasons. When they grow older, they turn to crimes and some of you make excuses for them. We are all responsible for ourselves. How we live our life and what we make of it is what we will become.

Give the Police a chance to properly investigate this situation. Then the name will be released.
Do not blame DNO for this. DNO is not able to release the name until the Police release the name of the person. Do you want DNO to be charged for releasing the name? Why can you not comprehend that?
I reside in Canada and on many occasions people are arrested and their names are withheld, pending further investigation. This is customary and nothing to be surprised about and complain about. The public must be satisfied with it. In time their names will be revealed.
You are absolutely right, ppl do not know the law. u cannot release the name of the person in custody unless the authorities releases the name. Dno can be charged for releasing such information even if we all know who it is.

I think even if the woman’s name is not disclosed,the fact that she’s assisting police in their investigations should not be made public #I’m just saying# for her safety,”investigations are ongoing”maybe?just too much info to the public, but hey I’m not law enforcement,good job on the bust though.

I commend the police on the discoveries they are making, but it is all about drugs. What is happen to crime in Dominica. I am not going to applaud everytime they discover drugs, because nothing is being done about crime and other criminal activities. Drugs taking lives as well as Crime investigate them both with the same enthusiasm.
