A painter with a passion

Portrait of the sculptor’s daughter, Trina Burnett

During the 10-year period that his studio was based in England, Roger Burnett published a diary on the internet that followed his work as a painter and sculptor.

It formed a unique document that gave an intimate insight into the trials and triumphs of those who toil upon the forge of art.  Schools and colleges throughout the world accessed the diary.   Some claim that it was the world’s first “blog”!

Roger Burnett is now resuming the diary from his studio at Antrim Valley.  So whereas before his was diary sent out from England to the four corners of the world, it is now posted from Dominica to the rest of the world.

He hopes that his diary will inspire a new generation of art students worldwide and in particular help to fill a void in teaching the visual arts in the Caribbean.

I’m glad DNO posted something about Mr. Burnett’s work. It’s beautiful, amazing art, and I hope anyone who was unaware of it before will take the chance to look at his sculptures and paintings.
