Chrisline Tavernier has been crowned the 2016 Miss DSC Mas Jamboree.
She outperformed seven contestants, at the Carnival Village on Thursday night.
Tavernier won the awards for Miss Photogenic, Best in Beachwear, Best Talent, and Best Interview. She also copped the People’s Choice Award.
“I am very, very, very proud of myself at this moment, because I must say, at the beginning, I really doubted myself, but now I’ve realized the amount of work I had to push to make it this far—I am very proud of myself,” she said.
The elated winner sent out special thanks to her chaperone, and all her supporters.
First runner-up is Sue-elyn Myers, who was awarded Best Runway, and Best Beachwear,
Second runner-up is Saidah Charles, while Arkisha Valmond secured third runner-up position, and awards for Best Personality, Best Evening Wear, and Best in Evening Wear.
Kerdelle Cuffy won the award for Best Thematic Wear.
The show was hosted in part by Student Body President, Donnell Defoe.
