MORE PICTURES: Opening of 2015 Carnival

On Saturday January 24, a number of traditional bands, floats and pageant contestants took to the streets, in a colorful and vibrant display as part of the Opening Parade for Carnival 2014.

Thousands of Dominicans also turned out to witness the event.
