With his popular song “Each one, teach one,” Wayne “Shadow flow” Robinson was crowned the new Stardom King of the Tent.
Shadow Flow, who is also known by many as “Skinny Banton,” beat 23 other calypsonians at the competition held at the Sisserou Hotel on Wednesday night to capture the title.
Lugarz secured the second place, newcomer Janae Jackson, the only female who successfully made it to the Calypso Finals competition this year, secured the third spot, while Davidson “De Observer” Victor placed fourth.
The other calypsonians who competed at the event were Lady S, Saint, Comforter, Earl White, Haxey, Alisha, Superior Picky, Chris B, Jaydee, Wak Sok, Checker, Intruder, Sting Rae, Hardline, Trendsetter, Beno, Dyno, Webb, Pigtail, and Black Diamond.
Last year’s winner was Sheldon ‘De Professor’ Alfred who had joined the ‘big guns’ of calypso for the first time.

Hahahaha. More like American accent. When I heard him after the semi finals I was like, but where Shadow come out? Seems that his job at Clear Harbour helped him sharpen his English language. The boy is now speaking proper English for your money. lol. But that’s a great turnaround for Shadow. It seems that he is doing real positive vibes in his life now. Big up bro. I am glad to hear that the man himself is making progress in becoming a better person. I heard him in an interview with the DBS calypso commentators at the semi-final. He impressed as being intelligent besides being talented.
