Nine supermarkets and a pharmacy in Dominica have been given recognition by state-owned DBS Radio for their excellent service to the public as Dominica continues to fight the dreaded Covid-19.

The business places are H.H.V Whitchurch & Co Ltd, Greens Wholesale, Issa Trading Ltd, Springfield Trading Ltd, Fine Foods Inc, A.C. Shillingford & Co Ltd, A&A Low Price Centre in Calibishie, J. Astaphan & Co. Ltd, Starrin & Sons Co. Ltd and Jolly’s Pharmacy.

They were recognized at a special ceremony upstairs the parliament building in Roseau on Friday morning.

General Manager of DBS Radio, Cecil Joseph, who was addressing the ceremony, said the company made its own survey at the various business places and observed that in the Covid-19 fight, the companies that were recognized are just as important as the frontline workers.

“At DBS Radio, we see the importance of recognizing your efforts and so, during the period of the pandemic, we made it our business and our duty to listen through the airwaves and to hear the announcements that you would put out to the public which showed us a sign that you too wanted to fight the Covid-19,” Joseph said. “And that you were not just wanting to figure out that you can reach dollars from your clients, but you also wanted to ensure that to make those dollars that these clients had to be well, healthy and productive people to be part of our society.”

Joseph indicated that DBS Radio conducted its own survey in order to determine the award recipients.

“Many of us have been to different parts of the country; some of us took the opportunity to go out shopping and we made our observation and recognized that in the fight of Covid-19, that you are as important as the frontline workers,” he asserted.

Joseph credited the companies with contributing the country’s current status of only one active COVID because they didn’t, according to him, let their guard down.

“But you ensured through working with the Ministry of Health, that you kept the protocol and to us at DBS Radio that was important,” Joseph stated.

Representatives of each company thanked DBS Radio for its kind gesture.

On the 1st of May, DBS Radio recognized the Ministry of Health frontline workers in the fight against the COVID-19 contagion.

DBS is a disgrace. Their main function is quite conspicuous. Peddle and hive credence to the supreme leader’s tall tales and whitewash the soiled image of his closest minions. This mouthpiece of the DLP does a great disservice to the country. One becomes dumber by listening to it. After listening to DBS and their political hatchet propagandists, one has to seek refuge in a quiet place to decompress or detox from their toxic brew. DBS operates mostly for political mischief. The top management people are sworn Skerrit’s choir boys.

Clown, you are absolutely right, Dominica does not belong to me. Unfortunately my Dominica now belongs to a bunch of corrupt and incompetent gangsters and the majority of the country, including you and your fellow red minions, stand by and watch in expectance of the occasional dollar, glass of bad rum and burnt chicken wings. Our once proud country has fallen very deep!!!

The news media is the biggest disappointment and failure of the Dominican people. The stenographers posing as journalists are untrained, politically biased and need to grow a spine. DBS is just the favorite place for the Skerrit’s most diehard propagandists to go to disseminate their untruths. Instead of being a shining beacon of light for the nation, it has mutated to a mere brainwashing machine for the ruling elitist party.

Ok DNO, we know Cecil Joseph and DBS are don’t report real news to us so DNO please, can you please follow up on a video the former West Indies fast bowler Michael Holding, has circulating about monies a third party used WICB to transfer to Dominica cricket associate in 2018? We do not know who was behind that transfer but we do know the following: Emmanuel Nanthan was at that time president of Dominica Cricket, president of Windward island cricket association and vice president of west Indies cricket or cricket west Indies. So I bet mr. Nanthan should be able to help us answer these questions https://youtu.be/yXyEc00l-oc

    Dear Mr. Editor,

What about Archipelago Trading Ltd in general with its Distribution Centre in Belfast that never stopped delivery of goods to homes and businesses? Also, Tropical Shipping, Patty Shack, Beacon Insurance, Cambio Man in Roseau and Cabrits Agencies in Portsmouth? I must say this piece is very incomplete.

ADMIN: We reported on a DBS article you may want to direct your inquiry to their news outlet.

Of course! How could the propaganda machine forget that other business empire of the Nassief’s. How could they? Shame on them! Or has that empire forgotten to make their annual donation to the ruling party?

I state this without fear of contradiction. DBS is used as a political tool for the DLP. The difference between these two political entities (DBS & DLP) is indistinguishable . Anything that is done by this Labour ragdoll radio station has to first be approved by their Supreme leader. This property of the State and by extension the citizens, has been reduced to a mere propaganda machine to discredit and demonize the Opposition while elevating a global Pariah and his rogue Cabinet to divine status.
I never give them hell. I just tell the unvarnished truth, and they think it’s hell.

What a ridiculous and stupid piece of rethoric and propaganda initiated by the unofficial DLP propaganda station for the benefit of loyal DLP businesses. I’m embarrassed for my country!

Whatever Cecil Joseph and Roosevelt Skerrit are involved in is nothing but fake, deception, propaganda and another fake story! DBS is completely destroyed and under them DBS stands for Damn Bull Sheet ( DNO I talking about bed sheets). Is Alibaba the first and Alibaba the 2nd.
