“I want our young people in Roseau south to tap into the new educational opportunities under Labour such as the ‘Learn Where You Are’, that will allow you to attend the Dominica State College (DSC) on your phone, on your tablet, on your computer,” Lockhart stated.

She promised that young people will not pay taxes in the first six months of their first jobs under a DLP government.  and .

To the UWPites, your comments always dominate on this comment board; so it is not a hard thing to do.

I suggest that you go back to your comments, and that of your counterparts, to listen to the hash, rude, disrespectful, and hateful mentality that has plagued your minds.

Then ask yourselves and answer the question: “Do you hear God saying to you all that He is pleased with your ways? Well?

Examine the outcome and you have the answer. How I pity you all!

Cheikra you are a sham, and you take advantage of people , Driving thru Roseau South and you have a young girl (well you didn’t have her there because you didnt give her the mic and tell her go do it ). But you have a young girl, who I have seen sitting on the road, idle, in brand new red shirt and white pants singing …and I quote “Put your X by the Shoe!Shoe!Shoe!Shoe!Shoe!”. I’m guessing she’s another one of the “Touloulou” That had to line up and go and get their cool out.
So clearly, this poor young lady was just another one that go a couple hundreds in an envelop and told go sing for their supper, to me that’s taking advantage.
When you win your seat and you in your nice office Financial Center, I hope when this young lady comes to you for a $200 you don’t turn her away. Because, the only job you bringing to Roseau South is, begging, if you cared about these young people, handing them out thousands wouldnt be the way. No, you would buy a brush cutter for them to…

For the past 5 years, her party was not the candidate for that constituency–that fact makes a lot of difference. If people want service they must choose the one who will give them that service. They cannot reject that person of service and expect to be satisfied, that cannot be.

A lot of talk it seems are being made on young entrepreneurs and starting a business, but that is not as easy as it is made to be. My brother tried and he did not get far because he got run around. Maybe he was the exception.

Look at comedy! A political party in power for the last twenty consecutive years and its candidate promising to reduce the high unemployment after tomorrow’s election if she is successful. Don’t you think if the DLP had any idea how to create jobs they would have done it already? They are experts in public money disappearance, victimization, persecution, hyper partisan politics, cursing . They lost ROSS, allowed many businesses to close, reduced agricultural output to a trickle. While tourism is blooming in most Caribbean territories, it’s remarkably pathetic in Dominica. The Skerrit-DLP led government is by far the WORST performing Administration in the whole Caribbean. Even the biggest fool can see that this regime is awfully bad for the country. VOTE DEM OUT! GET RID OF DEM!

Chekira, well good luck, but must remind yo hat you are in the wrong camp. This man is failure, spontaneous and j=knows not of Socio-economic development. Also, please watch your back. You are a young woman going to be exposed with the work of the government. Please stay focus, be strong, read alot of the functions of government. Consult those who are mature and have a long term in government. Get advice form them and be professional, be focus on your start of this journey within the government service. Don`t allow another one to attempt to disgrace you and see you as something else rather than someone who wants to be a professional and wish to gain exposure and experience. Your journey has started, engage, read and align yourself with people in your circle who are able to guide and assist you and not “Play” with you. Remember you are no little girl to have the big boys intimidating you. Good Luck . All the best.

“I intend to work with labour to lower the levels of unemployment and underemployment to provide greater and more sustainable avenues for young people to earn money and become finically independent,” she said.
My dear young lady, you appear new to this position and it is not that easy to say this is what you will be doing and I am concerned whether you have experience or have been exposed to social development within villages and communities. I take offence to this loose talk as if you have money to invest in what is needed. You go around the area and do a comprehensive survey and talk to the people to see if you have the resources and tasks to undertake this feat that you have promoted as if its a beauty queen competing. Also, be advised that you are in the company of a failed Skerrit who just talks, travels all over and yet our economy is poor, resources limited, local authorities are outdated and Skerrit sits there and talks rubbish, yet after 19 years he has failed us. Skerrit Go.
