Dominica Bar Association elects new executive

The Dominica Bar Association has elected a new executive to run its affairs.

Wynante Adrien-Roberts, Solicitor General in the Attorney General’s Chambers will now sit at the helm. She replaces Levi Peter (now Attorney General) as President.

Celia Delauney will assist her in the position of Vice-President.

Kathy Buffong-Royer now serves as the association’s secretary while Auriel Mary Roberts holds the position of Treasurer.

Two committee members were elected in the persons of Anthony Commodore and Pearl Richards Xavier.

Adrien-Roberts was elected unopposed and she thanked her colleagues for their show of confidence in her. She also thanked the outgoing executive for its service over the past year.

Adrien-Roberts has vowed to work diligently and encouraged all members to uphold the ethics and traditions of the legal profession.
