The Layou River is a disaster. The Roseau River is another disaster. We are blessed with nature but the rivers are not being taken care of in Dominica. Plant bamboo and other vegetation along the banks for protection. Create buffer zones and not construct along the banks. Stop allowing sewage to run into the rivers.

This government has done little if anything to protect the water ways of Dominica. They have polluted everything – the rivers (Layou River a prime example), the communities, the politics, the civil service, everything.

This overused word ‘resilient’ is a nice sounding word to them but they have no relationship with it. It’s like a known thief preaching ‘honesty’.

The statement is rather empty. I was expecting the statement to make specific mention of our rivers, and what is going to be done to preserve them for posterity!
Is it that this highy corrupt DLP, has done nothing to preserve our rivers and its fauna and flora for the younger generation?
No mention of the contamination of Layou river in particular, and other rivers in general? No mention of the asphalt plant in Layou? Set of wicked leaders!!!!!
Why should we be importing bottled water when we are blessed with so much water resources?
What about a massive afforestation programme along the sides of our rivers Kassani????????
No nexus between our rivers and the indiscriminate use of pesticides, which can kill both humans and the water fishes and plants through sippage? No collaboration with the schools to engage them in tree planting?
Were you just reading something to finish with fast Mr Laville..
    Shame on you!
    Very empty !!
