Dominica students associations at UWI to hold orientation and information session

Domsatt members at St. Augustine, UWI

The Dominica Students Association at Cavehill (DOMSAC) in collaboration with the Students Associations of the St. Augustine (DOMSATT) and Mona (DOMSAJ) Campuses will  host a one-day information and orientation session on Saturday July 27th 2019 at the UWI Open Campus Auditorium from 10 am.

The Dominican student associations are non-profitable organizations established for Dominican students attending the University of the West Indies Campuses, with the aim of developing unity and eliminating segregation. Revenues earned from the hosting of events are used solely for the betterment of students in every area of need.

The orientation and information session will prepare students for the start of their university journey, and allow incoming students to meet their Dominican counterparts and the executive board of the different associations. Incoming and prospective students will be receiving tips to ease their transition to on-campus university life and will be guided on course structure, academic life expectations, networking, financing, support services among many other aspects of the university life.

The orientation and information Sessions form part of the outreach activities being undertaken by the different Dominican students associations.
