Nationals of Dominica residing in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis donated a cheque of EC$3,250 to the Dominica Education Trust Fund towards the advancement of education in Dominica.
The funds were raised through activities organised by the group to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Dominica’s independence.
“The Trust Fund was selected because we believe that education is the key to fighting poverty and through our support a child is afforded the opportunity to achieve, at minimum, a secondary level education,” said Beverly Labadie, member of the Dominican Contingency, St Kitts and Nevis.
The Dominica Education Trust Fund was established to provide financial assistance to students whose families are experiencing significant financial difficulties. Funds are raised through donations from private individuals, clubs, local, regional and international associations and by fund raising activities.
The Government of Dominica also provides an annual subvention for students’ assistance.

Wow. I’m a Dominican (descent anyway) born & living in the UK, and whenever I see big groups of Dominicans (that don’t live in Dominica), it’s one of the most beautiful & fascinating thing ever, there’s so many Dominicans around the world. God bless these people & thanks for your donation.
Oh so thats where all you all hiding. I ain’t mad at you all. At least you all selling all you talents/skills to a sister island instead of the big ol’ US of A.
There are probably way more of us in the “big ol’ US of A than anywhere else. God bless America for giving us the opportunity to develop our talents and sharpen our skills in the first place!
Please stop the ignorance. We go where we are called to go or where we want to go, Remember it is God’s world. One human race. God bless our Sister Isles, God bless America, and God bless the Isle of beauty, “Lovely Dominica”. Thank you and have a Blessed Day.
I am backing up DominicanLady 100%. Jealousy is a Bitch. No matter where in the world we are they know we are Dominicans, by looking at our place of birth on our passport.
Most of them are employed at the ECCB.
Whatever. Don’t hate appreciate.
i hope you not one that will cry for a visa to have your baby in that same ol U.S of A
