An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Reichter scale was felt in Dominica this morning, according to information from the office of Disaster Management (ODM).
“The ODM can confirm that this morning at 6:15 am, there was a magnitude 5.0 earthquake located 91 kilometres north north east of Roseau, Dominica. That puts it just about north east of Marie Galante next to Guadeloupe at a depth of 10 kilometres,” said Fitzroy Pascal Disaster Coordinator at the ODM.
Just last month, the Office of Disaster Management confirmed a total of 426 earthquakes affecting within a 24 hour period, all originating from the eastern section of the Roseau Valley area.
An ODM release stated then that this was all part of small earthquake swarms in the south of Dominica occurring since December 2018.

A magnitude 5.0 on the Richter scale, is a powerful earthquake, almost to the the magnitude to the first one we experience here earlier this month, which was just over magnitude 6.
I wonder if the minister of resilient, and resiliency have his technology in place to withstand such earthquakes?
