CREAD strengthens MSME sector in Dominica by developing detailed database

Over 8,000 small businesses will benefit from the creation of a comprehensive database by The Climate Resilience Execution Agency for Dominica ( CREAD) as it seeks to improve  strategic and sustainable planning for the sector.

This initiative is said to be one of the priorities for CREAD as it recognizes the importance of formalizing Dominica’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) within the context of the Climate Resilience and Recovery Plan (CRRP) which has set as one of its goals, a minimum target of 5% sustained, sustainable and inclusive economic growth by 2030.

CREAD’s MSME Business Advisor,  Elijah Leblanc spearheaded the creation of the database along with an in-depth MSME Database Project Survey which will seek to gather critical data on Dominica’s MSME’s, which can serve as an important tool in providing targeted interventions to benefit the sector.

CREAD states in a press release that this important initiative will support the revitalization of MSME’s, which have been heavily impacted by Tropical Storm Erika, Hurricane Maria and now the COVID-19 crisis. It is intended to provide analytical tools for assessing and enhancing the performance of MSMEs, mobilizing support for the sector in terms of increased capabilities, access to finance, and providing an improved structure.

According to CREAD, the success of this project is highly reliant on the participation of as many MSME’s as possible completing the survey with accurate and honest information.

“CREAD would like to encourage all businesses to get on board and help us to help you,” Leblanc remarked, and added that this is one of several initiatives being undertaken by CREAD to bolster the MSME sector in Dominica.

“Dominica’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) are one of the key drivers of economic growth while contributing to productivity, employment and innovation; therefore, it is imperative for the Climate Resilience Execution Agency for Dominica (CREAD) to support and strengthen the resilience of a sector which contributes significantly to the country’s GDP,” CREAD asserts.

*Editor’s note* DNO was able to contact Elijah Leblanc and he indicated that details on accessing the survey will be made available in a subsequent post.

Just tasty, delicious, delectable, toothsome lies. This is s Future Tense administration. They paint such a rosy picture of the future but are completely oblivious to the Present and the Past Tenses. Their records of these two tenses are as dark as a Blackhole in outer space.

This is the world largest nonsense organisation. CREAD is only in existence to pay certain labour operatives or Skerrit friends massive wages courtesy of the state coffers without fear of probing questions to be asked. This is a prime example of unadulterated waste of public money.

Mr. X your comments are indisputable. If I were to grade you, it would be 10 out of 10 for accuracy. 1000% truthful.

CREAD is truly a worthless abbreviation. The executive body of ths organisation is expertly skilled at manufacturing sweet sounding lies.

Why did the first two appointed top officials of CREAD resigned and flew back to their countries of origin? Nothing was happening.

CREAD is as lifeless as a cadaver. Occasionally they try to grab headline attention to deceive the pubic that they are alive and relevant. Nothing is further from the truth.

    TATK! TALK !!!TALK!!!
How much money did Creed raise after hurricane Maria for and on behalf of the people? How has the money been spent?
Why after the formation of Creed, the general population is less resilient, not even being able to pay rent or to buy a pair of shoes? Does resilient to you all mean depending on Skerrit?
If i had my way i would disband that CREED sham….because it does not serve the poor people of this failed country.. Dominica is far from being economically, socially, structurally, mentally, etc, etc, etc resilient, and will most likely be the LAST country in the world to achieve resiliency of any kind…At least not under this Skerrit led government.

CREAD was created purportedly to make Dominica the first resilient country on earth. After close scrutiny, it looks more like its main objective is to fatten some people’s bank accounts. It .occasionally raises its voice to deceive the nation into thinking that this phantom piece of abbreviation is alive and useful.

All the organizations founded by Skerrit, without exception, are.functionally inept. There is little or no accountability from them as they are shrouded in secrecy and operate like shadowy figures.

It might help us to understand what it’s all about if there was a link to the survey.
