Finland expects to strengthen political ties with Dominica, now that it has announced the opening of the honorary consulate of Finland in Dominica.
Julian Johnson was introduced as the First Honorary Consul of Finland to Dominica, at a press conference at Fort Young Hotel Monday.
Johnson says he will “seek to advance the interest of Finland in the field of commercial and cultural relations between the Commonwealth of Dominica and Finland”.
Johnson’s role will also entail assisting Finland nationals in Dominica, in the area of issuing visas among others.
A Finland team representing the country’s government is in Dominica, as part of its tour throughout the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (O.E.C.S).
Why is it so hard for some of us Dominicans to see a son of the soil progress? When will we find a cure for this “Crabs in a barrel” syndrome? Congrats Dr. J’ I am sure that you will serve the interests of both countries well.
