On Monday, November 14th, 2011, the Dominica Association of People living with Disabilities (DAPD) received a donation of one computer from First Domestic Insurance Co. Ltd.
Earlier this year in July and September, the Office of the Association on Canal Lane in Goodwill was burglarized and computers, flash drives, software, a printer and other office equipment were stolen.
They were donated as part of a project funded by the Government of Japan through the JICA Agency in 2008. According to the grant agreement, the association is responsible for replacing any of the items lost, stolen or damaged within five years of the agreement.
In receiving the computer, Mrs. Nathalie Murphy, Director of DAPD expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Robert Tonge, Chief Executive Officer of First Domestic Insurance for the company’s kind donation. FDIC is the first corporate entity to come on board to donate equipment after the burglaries.
Mr. Robert Tonge was pleased to donate the computer and encourages the rest of the corporate community to join and contribute any required equipment to DAPD after these unfortunate series of burglaries.
That’s why i could never change my insurance compnay FDIC is always giving back.
I must extend my CONGRATULATIONS to First Domestic for once again leading the way with this kind corporate gesture. Keep on doing the good work guys, and Dominicans keep on supporting First Domestic Insurance!
FDIC I say thank you. According to you, where are the corporate communities which SUCK the GOVT with all the monies? They can bring in ALL THEIR CARS, TOURIST AT HOTELS AND BULL SHIT THEM AS LAW ADVISOR.
Come on, now is you all time to donate to the govt who have purchased so many vehicles from you all too.
Great Job FDIC… It’s good to know that Corperate Citizens like First Domestic Insurance are making their contribution towards the development of Society. FDIC in more ways than one is playing its part and I am calling on more companies to join and lend a hand to the less fortunate of this country. Nuff Respect FDIC.
Respect to FDIC. That shows we care for the people. Great job!!!
Addendum: Should read FDIC, not FIDC.
Hats off to FIDC for a fine community gesture.
