Range Developments is delighted to announce the appointment of NH International (Caribbean) Ltd (NH), a flagship construction company based in the Caribbean, as the main structural contractor for the Cabrits Resort Kempinski, Dominica.

NH is a regional leader in the construction industry with an impressive track record of completed hospitality, housing and civil engineering projects across the Caribbean. NH is one of the Caribbean’s most trusted construction and design/build company.

Mohammed Asaria, Vice Chairman of Range Developments, has welcomed the appointment of NH. “We have achieved an important milestone today with the award of the structural construction contract to this highly rated firm with decades of experience in the Caribbean,” he said. “NH International’s proficiency and accomplishments leave us no doubt that the construction of the development will be in accordance with the highest standards of quality and best international practices. We have full confidence in NH International’s ability to deliver the project on schedule.”

The resort is a major project for the Commonwealth of Dominica and will be Kempinski’s first luxury hotel in the Caribbean. The construction of the resort will create hundreds of jobs for Dominicans during the construction period.

“With great anticipation, our NH Team looks forward to working with Range Developments and the People and Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica in delivering the Cabrits Resort Kempinski, Dominica. Over the past 50 years, driven by integrity, NH has successfully delivered many projects that transform businesses and build nations throughout the Caribbean islands. Our NH project team is supported by one of the Caribbean’s foremost Geotechnical Engineers, Derek Gay, Ph.D., and Structural Engineers (Aleron Consulting Engineers Ltd.). We will build to ensure high quality and timely completion in the interests of a successful long term relationship with Range Developments, Kempinski and Dominica,” said John Connon, Managing Director of NH.

The Cabrits Resort Kempinski, Dominica is the first Government approved real estate project under the Citizenship By Investment Program of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Investors can obtain citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica through purchasing a limited partnership interest in the development for US$220,000. Initial sales momentum has been strong, with investors recognising the capital growth and income generation potential of the resort, in addition to the benefits that citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica provide.

The Cabrits Resort Kempinski, Dominica is scheduled to be completed in Q4 2018.

You know, i wish i could write in the exact format as my varying thoughts. I treat every comment or response as someone’s personal thought whether obtained by experience or influence. Lets look at the brighter picture for a moment. For donkey years, DOMINICANS have been moving throughout the region only to return boasting what they experienced outside. We have worked out there, we have developed out there, we have died out there, enjoying another man’s paradise. Now, we have a chance to see our battered country being developed like none other and all we do is criticize and comment and let that DOM IN A CAN mentality cloud our judgement. Take for Example, when Spadaro was developing Mahout in SXM, he was faced with some serious criticism, he was never deterred, but that area has place SXM on the map. This Generation will see some unprecedented levels of development in various aspects. The administrators of this land should not be perturbed by the ignorance or arrogance of a few. cont…

“Artist’s rendition of a section of the hotel when completed”

Here goes another master piece of an artist rendition, all we get is artist in Dominica are artists renditions, even of heaven! Dominica has the most projects pending in the world, but nothing ever comes to fruition, nothing materializes.

We saw the artist rendition of a new hospital, in the past we saw artist rendition of more than a hundred hotels. Most recent, we say not only the artist rendition of the Moroccan hotel, but a structure now in decay! We saw the artist rendition of a new Roseau, which Skerrit that Mountain Chicken Carpaud mentality Sly Eye Indian doctor of nothing proclaimed will become a model that every nation in the Caribbean would use to change the appearance of their island; election over work has yet to begin, instead there are more decaying garbage in the streets of Roseau.

There are no traffic lights installed on the streets of Dominica. The last tie I was in Dominica I saw a lone light at he bridge at Bath Estate, which more than half the time did not work. There are very few islands in the Eastern Caribbean without street traffic lights, nevertheless their island are more developed than ours, so I do not know why they would wish to patterned Mr. Crapo mentality artist rendition; of something of which there shall be no realization!

Thank God the UWP people are lining up at the Moroccan Hotel hoping they will get a job, while all of you labor people are inside working!

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I am talking about the same one that the Arab spring prevented from getting completed. I am talking about the Moroccan Hotel in Portsmouth that parts of it is sinking in clay quicksand!

I am referring to the Moroccan Hotel which starts decaying before it is completed, do you mind telling us the UWP supports how many labor party supporters are employed there and state how much you are paid per week?

You are so dumb, counting your chickens before the hatch! Cant you see Skerrit is curse, anything involving him fails!

I see that both the the structural contractor and consulting engineers are from Trinidad. NH International (Caribbean) Ltd. came forth out of a merger of Norwest Holst International and Emile Elias & Co. Ltd. Is there any connection with the Layou River hotel fiasco and the infamous “fraudulent concrete”? I hope not. Can someone out there put my mind at ease please.

DNO, I do believe you have the obligation to enlighten some of your readers and contributors to your paper…although a wise man said “let the fool wallow in his pity” but please educate that fool as to what it really takes to deliver a project of such magnitude. first of all is not a pie shak that is being built and secondly there are a lot of phases such a project have to go through before you see one block or stone erected…some of your readers and contributors will be the same ones criticizing if due diligence is not done…maybe it might be prudent of you to publish an article highlighting the different phases a project goes through in order to educate your reading public…honestly speaking, some of the comments you/editor allows in somewhat embarrassing…just some constructive critic. with that said I think you are doing a good job. just remember, education is powerful

  9. May 18, 2016

We also need a Marina at the Cabrits to complement all these projects. It will create a lot of jobs.

I don’t believe in NO damn thing that has the seal and blessing of Skerrit and his very corrupt government. Skerrit cannot be trusted in anything. By now I expected Dominicans to be very upset and show their anger on the street of Roseau, and instead is more of the same old same old. If the issues before us don’t stir up anger what else will? The economy is in shambles, no work, crime everywhere, government minister was arrested, charged, and bailed, for allegedly a very serious sexual misconduct with a minor and the government still have it in them to have that bailed man campaigning in public with them, the name of “the government of Dominica” found itself on the panama papers, questions regarding Skerrit’s possible knowledge and involvement in the corruption scandal involving his friends NG Lap Seng, John Ashe, Francisco Lorenzo, who were all arrested by the FBI, two weeks after Skerrit was seen with them. To hell with his Kempinski, make it worse, a Mohammed in…

That’s exactly it, too much talk but not even one little bit of action.

    • May 18, 2016

Skerrit the 1 man Government haven addressed the nationals because Hartley Henry is very careful as to the wording of the release because he knows that Skerrit reads whatever they hand him, because in the pass he never ever takes the time to review before he speak, But to be reading about the office of the Government is listed in the Panama papers, corruption scandal with his friends Lap Seng, Ashe, Lorenzo all arrested by FBI in the USA is just the begin of the down fall of Dominica.
