Charlotte’s Nursery School in New Town has received a $300 prize for winning the Pre-School Poster Competition on the theme “THE PILLARS OF CHARACTER”.
The purpose of the contest was to promote team building amongst teachers and students and allow children to describe their understanding of the six (6) pillars of character through art.
Mrs. Ellen Paul, Coordinator of Youth On A Mission For God which organized the competition, presented the cheque to the school last week.
The prize money came from the proceeds of the “ FOR HIS GLORY VARIETY CONTEST II” held by the group in July 2011.
Youth On A Mission For God (YMG), is a non denominational youth group which seeks to engage young people in positive development through a various activities including debates, concerts, evangelism, maintaining a clean environment, panel discussions on social ills affecting youth and social and educational skills.

congratulations tp newtown for doing it again with techer glenda charlotte pre-school. It seems that a lot of great things are happening in that gifted yet challenged grass roots community. It was first THUNDERBIRDS as band of the year and followed by HARLEM winning the Football Championship and now this schol doing well.
This serves as tremendous encouragement to our young people. Do maintain the great works and remein focus on the positive amidst the dificulties and take advantage of any opportunities athat are available for development of self and community. There is hope !
Well done NEWTOWN – good can continue to come from the ghetto !

wow. This is so good!! In the midst of the negativism, young people are making a difference all over the island. Father continue to give them insight and foresight. Whatever they need to lighten the load i pray that you will grant it in Jesus name. AMEN
great job guys. Keep on doing what God would have you do. How can I become a member of your group? I have been hearing of you guys and you are really on a Mission for God. Stay connected and focused
good effort at stimulating the little ones in raising an awareness of God and all that is good. However, I dislike the idea of presenting the cheque to that toddler. We shouldn’t give money to kids as young as these. Then they grow up to love money and expect it from everyone.
Positive vibes.
