The Convent High School observed Career Day on Thursday and is planning for a Family Fun Day on May 16.
Students of the institution dressed in attire to suit the careers of their choice yesterday. At a press conference at the school, Coordinator of Career Day Annette Austrie told the media that students presented displays of various careers ranging from medicine and forensic science to drama and law.
On the other hand, the Family Fun Day which will be held on the school’s compound is expected to involve the CHS students and their families. Several activities such as games and performances from students are on the cards for the activity.

“There’s gonna be Sunday meals available for sale, there’s gonna be drama, lot of excitement. The whole aspect of that would be to really create that bond parents, particularly parents from fifth form, their daughters are going to be leaving very shortly, for the last time in the school here in the Convent High and something to really get wonderful memories of,” Coordinator of the event, Alexander Stephenson said.
Twenty-eight French exchange students from Guadeloupe also visited the school on Thursday. They were able to do assignments, homework and interact with CHS students.

Yeah, the Convent Girls had it all, in my days at SMA, and still today: ageless, timeless, lace, and fineness, their beauty and elegance; their essay, glamor, please pardon my Grammar, but they were and still are, every school boy’s dream; they are smart, intelligent, celtic, united, and the warmest thing I have ever seen, all of this I put down to experience. Good going girls. Keep it up.
Great idea; other school should take note. Perhaps also, the schools could include the various businesses as well giving students more exposure.
Thumbs up1
