The Dominica Film Office will be hosting two workshops to develop and upgrade the skills of persons involved in the audiovisual sector.
Introduction to Filmmaking workshop targets youth interested in careers in the audiovisual sector. It will introduce the world of film and TV dramas to young persons (ages 13 – 20) who would like to pursue careers in the media. The
The other workshop Filmmaking and Editing II is to further upgrade the skills of videographers and editors in production and editing.
Both workshops are scheduled to be held over a two week period (September 5 – 16, 2011).
The youth workshop will be held from 2pm-4pm at the University of the West Indies Open Campus on Elmshall Road, while the adult workshop will be held from 4:30-7pm at the Public Service Training Center Upstairs the Post Office.
At the end of the two weeks both sets of students are expected to produce 3 minute short films.
Persons who are not yet registered can do so at the offices of Discover Dominica Authority, on the 1st Floor of the Financial Center on Kennedy Avenue.
