Dominican pupil excels in Montserrat

Stevikha Foster

Young Dominicans attending school overseas seem to be performing well at all levels.

The latest news of that nature to reach DNO is about eleven year old Stevikha Stephanie Naomie Foster, a Dominican who lives in Montserrat.

Stevikha has graduated at the top of her primary school class, a position she held throughout her primary school years, according to information reaching DNO.

She received the student of the year award for six of those seven years at the Lookout Primary school and in October 2011, she was nominated by her school for the National Student Award in Montserrat.

Stevikha is originally from the village of St.Joseph and is  the daughter of Steve & Naomie Foster.

During the graduation ceremony held recently, she received three awards including  The Delta Petroleum Extra Mile Primary School Award, Student of The Year for Grade 6 and The Head Teacher Challenge Award

In September 2012, Stevikha will begin her secondary school education at the Montserrat Secondary school.

She says she is thankful to God, her parents, teachers, relatives and loved ones for her success.

Congrats, but she is not Dominican. Her mother is Dominican she was born in Montserrat her father is Monstratian, she is a holder of a Montserrat and British passport. DNO get your facts straight before publishing these stories. The story is written like both parents are Dominicans.
