Dominicans to benefit from advocacy training

About 25 members of Dominica’s Youth and Community Advocacy Network (YouCAN), will benefit from a two-day early childhood development advocacy training workshop being conducted in the island on December 13 and 14.

The training is being facilitated by Dr Bridgette Barrett-Williams, seasoned capacity building consultant with years of experience conducting training and capacity building exercises.

The YouCAN is an initiative of the Caribbean Child Support Initiative (CCSI), which is in transition to the Foundation for the Development of Caribbean Children (FDCC), and is a network of advocates who seek to garner support for early childhood development matters at the grassroots level.

This sounds like something that I would like my children involved in. The information presented is not so indepth, but I think this is something that our young people need to develop, the art of speaking out, and articulating concenrs, if this is what its all about.
