Six desktops worth over $5,000 have been donated to the Dominica State College (DSC), from the CIBC First Caribbean Bank.
They were handed to the DSC by the bank at a ceremony on Monday morning.
According to Rhona Lawrence, Business Support Officer for the bank, the bank is happy to make such a significant contribution to education through the use of technology.
Merril Matthew, Dean of the Faculty of Education of the DSC added that the computers and accessories will be used to improve the quality of education and instruction at the DSC.
“That is going to help us in delivery from two perspectives; our teachers and lecturers will have access to the internet to get new and current information and strategies for teaching and the students themselves will be able to access new and improved information on various theories and practices,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the bank for their contribution to the college.
Three of the computers are already being used at the college.
I want my grades DSC!!!!!!!!!!!
With all their computers and technology they are still making a mess of our grades
Why aren’t the rest of the computers being used?
because the other three were used in the press conference so persons could see the type of computers that were donated…as you can see by the photo..duh! If there were no computers in the picture you would then ask where are the computers..smh
Great job First Caribbean Bank…Always giving back to the community..
