FCCA brings Christmas cheer

Santa with some of the children at Monday’s event

Over US$3,000 worth of gifts has been given to children in Dominica by the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) in an effort to bring them early Christmas cheer.

The presents, which were given to 137 children 12 years and under, included dolls, trucks, and other children’s games.

The gifts were presented to the children at a ceremony on Monday morning at the Public Service Union building.

Slavojub Popovic, crew coordinator of Emerald Princess, told DNO that the smiles on the faces of the children gives the motivation to return every year.

“We are motivated when we see the smiles on the children’s faces … we do this every year in Bonaire, Grenada, Dominica and Bahamas; we are very happy to see that they are happy,” he said.

He said the FCCA has been bringing Christmas cheer to Caribbean children for over ten years now.

Monday’s event was organized by the Discover Dominica Authority and the FCCA in conjunction with Springfield Trading, Fine Foods Inc, Hara Agencies, Combine Taxi Association, Events and Things, Josephine Gabriel and Co. Ltd.

    who is santa clause? satan

when was jesus born? during a time of great feast when the inns were filled, biblically sometime in october.

did the bible told us to celebrate the birth of the christ? no his death

why the 25th of december? birthday of pagan god worshiper, king nemrod which was celebrated with revelry, glutony, drunkness and great orgies which sometime included children..

what is the significance of the christmas tree? pagan ritual to celebrate the kings birthday
what is the significance of the decorations and star atop the christmas tree? 5 star not king david but barthomet, head of the goat(demon)Jeremiah 10:2-4

who changed the real meaning of the decoration of the tree with its feasting, drunkeness, glutony and revelry? early pagan worshipers who turned christian and came into the church, they also changed the sabath day to sunday…because they also worshiped the sun god..Jeremiah 10:2-4

i know allu cannot stay away from the nice time but do some research, doh drag allu children down that road

Don’t you all know when they talk about Dominica they are referring to Roseau. When anyone talk about Dominica in any category they only talk about Roseau. Roseau is Dominica.

We need to inform the children about the truth and stop misleading them with myths.

So what about the children in the North & North East of the island. A Toy Drive needs to be done for the less fortunate kids. Are the churches doing anything in their communities for the children??

Here we go again with the typical Dominican ignorance. We should add that as one of our national elements. National bird = ‘Sisserou’, National problem = ‘Jealousy’
