Several early childhood learning institutions on island have come together to participate in a parade in observance of Commonwealth Day 2016, being celebrated today, March 14.
Students of the Bright Beginning Centre, Social Centre, Bj’s Learning Centre, S.P.I.C.E.S Centre, Shalom preschool and Little Gem preschool were among the preschools which marched in the streets of Roseau displaying colours, flags and costumes as they represent different countries of the Commonwealth.
Meanwhile Laura’s Day and Night Nursery, I am a Promise Pre-School, Oasis Pre School and the T.C Sunbeam Pre-School held an exhibition in Goodwill to form part of the day’s activities.

But mothers this isn’t just about Commonwealth Day, it’s also about the development of our young ones, they learning about the Commonwealth is one thing, proper development of the kids, instill good moral values, teach them to do the right things, don’t think it’s too early, now is the right time. You’ll be surprised to know how they retain at that age.

Dominica has a lot of pre-schools. Ensure you teach them well. They are not too young to be disciplined to love and respect every one and also to obey their parents.
What they learn especially in the early stages should remain with until they attain adulthood and thereafter. If so, it will be an asset to them.
