Lisa’s Kiddies Land Daycare has donated to the Roving Caregiver Program (RCP) a number of infants’ clothing and other children’s items at a value of approximately E.C. $4,000.
The donation was made on Friday 2nd May 2017 at the ground of the daycare center and was geared towards commemorating the Daycare’s 10th year in operation.
Owner and Manager of the business, Lisa Grell expressed joy at the partnership between her business and RCP.
“I am Happy to partner with the RCP in providing assistant to parents and children around Dominica,” she said.
Ms Maureen Valmond, a member of the RCP staff, received the contribution on behalf of the organization.
“RCP is always happy to network with individuals and businesses who are interested in supporting children and parents. Our programme is aimed at promoting the wellbeing of children and families and any support which furthers this cause is embraced,” she remarked.
The Roving Caregiver Programme is an early childhood programme that provides early stimulation to children from birth to three years of age in a home setting.
The government of Dominica and the National Bank of Dominica has been the main institutions which have been giving support to the RCP with Ross University and the Presidents Charity as additional supporters.
The programme, which was implemented by Child fund Caribbean, is now under the care of the Ministry of Education- Early Childhood Education Department.
What a wonderful contribution Lisa. May God continue to bless you and I wish your daycare continued success!
Thx
RCP is where my heart is, my first place of employment. We mold the minds of young minds which are the future of tomorrow. Early development starts from the womb. Congrats Ms Grell
Thx
Tnx
Oh my. Congrats to Lisa’s Kiddies Land Day Care. Reaching out to the unfortunate little ones just like elderly always return a blessing. What a good deed! Keep on the positive things Lisa. I know you do an excellent job at that day care and the environment there is just so child friendly. Having a day care is one but having love for children is your strong point. Go aunty Lisa go!!!!! Hooray! May God pour back into this day care a hundred fold. Blessings

Nice work. Congrats on the anniversary of your very successful children’s centre.
Inspiring! Blessings Lisa.
Congratulations Lisa. It’s been ten years already. May God bless your endeavors.
A kiddies day care giving EC$4,000!?? waw day care must be lucrative. I applaud your generosity and open heartedness especially in a time when money is “hard” to come by for so many. This is much better than the EC$500 that Clear Harbor donated recently. .
Hugh, no need to turn your nose down on the Clear Harbor donation. Every little bit helps. 1+1+1+ Hugh’s eventual donation will fill the basket.
And kudos to Lisa. Thank you for your contribution. It will go a long way to making life easier for some less fortunate parents.
Bravo. Pat yourself on the back. The saying is actually, “turn your nose up” ..not down
Where did you come from all of a sudden?
You are one negative person; not so appreciative. In fact, far from that.
Enterprises, people give what they feel they can afford.
Whatever anyone gives, it adds up and is helpful.
God loves a cheerful giver.
Concern yourself with this godly virtue of generosity.
You critic, what have you given and/or plan to give?
What if you were given $500.00, consider what you could do with it; anyone for that matter.
what have you given ? and who is you to want to be asking people what they give who? focus on your generosity. when i give, if i give at all it is not for fame or recognition. Thats the truth that you should know ms letthetruthbeknown. FOh with that. Vex about a comment about a measly 500 a big international company gave an impoverished school and want to be making headline news like they saving the world. CLEARLY it struck a nerve. now get over it.
Let me further inform you. There are approximately 70,000 people in Dominica. Some are children. Among the adults, if these adults were to give $1.00 a month to the government, to and for charity, consider how much money this would be.
Consider also how much this amount would be in one year and in years to come. Food for thought.
In addition, one dollar is not much and can hardly purchase anything these days but one dollar, given by each adult adds up. Collectively, much can be accomplished with that amount.
Maybe it is high time every adult in Dominica gives one $1.00 a month to the government, operated by a charitable organization for this purpose. They would not feel the pinch, so-to-speak.
Ever thought of this? One dollar saved and/or given a day by one person equals to $365.00 in one year.
