Roquan Joseph, a former student of the St Luke’s Primary School is now a holder of a scholarship to attend secondary school in the new academic year, courtesy of the Loubiere Reunion Committee.
The scholarship, which amounts to $500 to cover school supplies, was made through the Loubiere Village Council and was presented at the council’s office earlier this week.
Council clerk, Glenda Castle, said the scholarship is for five years and the student must maintain an average “B” grade for the funds to continue.
Chairman of the Reunion Committe, Ronald Charles and members of the Committee thanked all who supported the activities of the Loubiere Reunion last year, since the presentation was made from surplus of the Reunion.
Joseph will attend the Dominica Grammar School in the new academic year.
Best wishes to Roquan. I do hope and pray that he proves himself, not just to maintain an average ‘B’ grade, but to ensure he makes his Mom & Dad proud. They are a very struggling, hardworking and dedicated set of parents!
